This is just starting to come out. What is everybody's thoughts? I like the size, but I did expect it to be smaller. And how is it safe to charge by usb? Is it parallel or series? 100 watts is a lot to run of its only a 3.7 volt input. I think a silicone sleeve and a usb charger will make this my everyday mod.
What are your thoughts?

I have one on pre order...It is a dual 18650 series configuration..Its good to fire down to .15 ohm...its a hair bigger than the eleaf 50w from what i hear...has great battery and pcb venting from what i can see.

Other than that i couldnt say..im taking a chance with this one..hopefully its a good one..i couldnt pass up the deal $29.99 plus $3.00 shipping for it.

It looks like a different firing button on it..i could be wrong though.

Also they are supposed to be coming out with a 75w and a 150w version as well (rumored)

Seriously wish these things were out a year ago before I had backups for my backups, because for the money you can't go wrong!

I'll wait a few months this time and see how they stand up. For the price, it appears to be a great beater mod, or inexpensive backup.

This would be a fine back up piece
As long as it functions as intended & doesn't have any auto fire issues then yes maybe also need to consider longevity of the device.

Edit: @Zamazam beat me to the punch :p

I plan to use it as a daily driver aside from a mech mod here and there at home..so ill put it through its paces..Hopefully i have better luck with this than i did with my cloupor mini 30 for 1 dollar lesso_O

You gotta like the replaceable batteries now as opposed to the lipos.

I thought the 50 watt had 2 x 18650's in parallel?

thanks, you can replace them with 2 x 18650 though
Wonder if an sx350j board would fit in that thing....
Would be like shoving a ls in a corolla

The dna30 is a great chip!! I use my 30s more than my 40s.

I have an 30W (solid mod for me), the 40TWC (so far so good....but only 5 or 6 tanks through it so far in TC), and the 100W (only 2 or 3 tanks so far). I have read of the issues others have seen, but I haven't had any issues (although aren't my main devices....bought as backups and to try new things).

I swore I'd never buy eLeaf again after my IStick 50, but got a couple 100s anyway. They're about the size of my Sig 100, a bit heavier and with better door magnets. Rattly as hell buttons, but what did I expect for $30?

So far so good powering my Subtank for a few tanks full, but haven't really put it through the paces with a dripper and likely wont. Wife has been using hers for a few days as a primary mod, no complaints from her after a dozen or more tank fills.

Mines working well so far..i did a small review but i can add the 510 sticks up a bit so ,anything sitting perfectly flush wont happen for you...A positive, i realized a 23 24mm tank shouldnt overhang either..I put my Taifun GT on it (23mm) and still room for more.

For me im more concerned about long term reliability and hopefully didnt get a bad apple.

And it is a parallel battery configuration..not series like i thought it was...my samsung 25r's last a good while at 30 watts..Some LG HD2 3000 mah 20 amp cells are in the near future for me.

Minor disagreement - all of my Subtank Minis (and the Plus) sit flush on it. I can see no day light between the bottom of the tank and the top of the mod. YMMV....this happens to be on a sample size of one.

After reading this, I dropped my Subtank Plus on it. The Plus is 25mm and sure enough, no overhang.....that surprised me because eyeballing it told me something different. To me, this is awesome....longer battery life plus a huge tank....perfect for a long drive! Now I have two mods that can handle this tank without overhang (other one is the Sig50W V2).

I bit the bullet and picked one up at My local Juice Joint and yes for a little more than mail order..o_O..But I have to support My local shops rent..;).I also got some new brown LG HD2 batteries for it..:D..Only time will tell,I also have a dead 20 watt that was a gift to fix,a 30 watt, and a 40 watt TC no problems with any of them...Still put them in rotation, but nothing gets used hard, seeing as I have a black AND a white subox:p,and two mech mods....Yes I have a problem....Z

I read where someone else had their 510 sticking up and guess i have the same problem..nothing i have sits perfectly flush on mine...it does to the 510 but not top of the mod.

mine is the same way but it doesn't bother me though. Actually would work out well if I slapped my old kayfun on it with the bottom air vent

@Mike H. - well I was wrong. Turns out when I ran my test and held it up towards the window the blind got in the way. I checked again out of curiosity and sure enough, about a business card or so thick gap between the bottom of the tank and the top of the mod. Upon further inspection, it is due to the 510 sticking up higher than the top plate on the mod.

I dont feel like i just got a bad one then...lol

Its not so bad that it even bothers me really...i just want it to last unlike my cloupor mini did...still love how small that thing is..ill fix it eventually with a cheap dna clone chip.

I know right, every other box mod i have has some scratches on the case from rubbing...You can buy a new mod and put on one atty and its already damaged in a sense.

Lol......I feel like a moron. Guess I was too quick on the draw and didn't do a proper comparison.

Nonetheless....so far so good with the mod....even with the very, very slight gap. A few more weeks will show how it lasts but I like it!

A simple top coat of plastic would be great to prevent scratches. Removable and replaceable would be awesome.

Who has a decal cutter?!?!

I change the piss out of Attys. Tape has not failed me yet. Take it off when I go to vape things. I was said to have "training wheels". I don't want a valuable piece of equipment damaged.

Packing tape glue don't stick to Attys if you change it every week. I use a Cotton Ball with Rubbing Alcohol anyway. Don't let germs make You sick. Keep your stuff clean. I dip my Tips in Ever clear about every day. wash them tips. :)

Plus you can keep the batteries topped off with your phone charger on your long drives.

iStick 100 preset has been added to Steam Engine.
http://www.steam-engine.org/modrange.asp

Like many cheap mods, this does not do step down well. I don't really care because I build for my mech and my builds are flavor builds in small RDAs and I never go below 4 ohms. Steam Engine gives the sweet spot as 0.7; I will give that a try in a Freakshow Mini. My 0.4 ohm build runs fine; no buzzing or heat. Instead of fiddling with the batteries, I just leave it plugged in overnight via the usb.
