Well, I have ordered Efests new 'in house' battery.

Hi people. Curiosity has got the better of me, and after speaking to Efest and them admitting the 2800MAH 35AMP was an LG re wrap, they have stated the new 2900 MAH 35A is genuinely 35 amp constant, not pulse, and not a rewrap, they said to feel free to unwrap one and see it is.

The are also very sure of their claims they are 35 Amp.

Now, I am expecting at worst these are LG HG2 rewraps, as at 2900 MAH they would be 20 amp batteries, but what if they genuinely have put the time and research in to make this?

I ordered them today in a pair. They are either LG HG2 rewraps so 20 amp, or a 2900MAH genuine battery.

If they are a genuine 2900 35AMP continuos, I think the holy grail may of been found. They literally have just launched.

I will find out on wednesday, but if they are a genuine 2900MAH battery at 35 amp, they admitted their past mistakes on facebook and stated these are actually made by them, not a third party.

Actually, I suspect that they're neither.

The efest 2500mah WAS a rewrapped he2. I do not believe that it the case anymore because they were catching too much heat for simply rewrapping commonly available cells and marking up the price.

Instead, they have found a Chinese manufacturer to produce cells for them. For all we know, the company who owns the battery manufacturing plant also owns efest, but who really knows what's going on in China?

Whatever the case, I think you've been obsessing about batteries too much lately Conan.

Meh..im sure someone with the ability to test it will do so and let it be known...if they are real i personally wont pay the efest price for it.. i dont think i need anything more than 30 amps for what i use batteries for.

Samsungs , HG's and Sony's for me.

Although i might check out the LG HG2 with 3000mah and 20 amps for my new eleaf 100w...6000mah should give nice battery life and 20 amps will cover anything i build on a regulated.

Just don't put them anywhere near a mech and you should be pretty safe.

Don't know if you've seen the video recently of a guy that had two new (ish) 2800mAh efest vent at only a modest amp draw? There's a thread here discussing it. The reviewer is a bit of a divvy in my opinion, but still... Quality control at efest isn't all that.

As far as efest spending money, all they did was ask someone else to make this cell to their specifications. I highly doubt they did any research and development themselves on the construction and assembly, materials etc.

Is there anything wrong with taking an interest in batteries though? I thought thats what the battery junkie area was for :s

Yeah I seen that, he has put a discliaimer in the video saying he has taken them up to full wattage since no problem. There was a genuine Issue there though.

They cost me less than 2 25R's would, so don't feel too bad. Only about £10.

Nothing wrong with it at all, but I've been following your vape adventure and you already own some of the best cells available for your needs. You're not going to uncover anything in your investigation that we don't already know about efest branded cells, and are frankly just wasting your time and limited funds at this point IMO.

Perhaps focusing your vape efforts on things that will really improve your experience would be more in order at this point, to keep you busy in the hobby while allowing you to discover the effects of different things. Chasing flavor with twisted, braided, Clapton builds, etc. They can be fun, challenging, rewarding, and can certainly keep you occupied while you try different builds and see what effects it has on your vape.

Just saying buddy, but you do your thing.

I see where your coming from man. I just wanted to try them, thats all, they are probably crap as usual, but you never know lol.

I like my claptons, I have not tried twisted or braided yet though.

The HE4's, what capacity are they. I got a HG2 the other day, quite impressive. Don't worry, I won't be slapping them straight into a 150 box running them at full amps, I am going to slowly increase and see if they vent at all. I am just too easy to fool, someone speaking to me telling me they really are that capacity, I tend to believe them. Just the way I am, too trusting. 25R's are my favourite though.

He4's are labeled as 2500mah cells. 20amp CDR. Advertised 35amp pulse, fwiw.

The HE4 is 2500mah. It gets slightly better reviews that the HE2, but not much. Both seem to be good batteries. I haven't tried the HG2 yet, but it's getting good reviews.

That was a good price, being in the UK thats about £14 or so, pretty good.
