On the third of this month, my lady and I ordered authentic Horizon Stainless Steel Arctics, and, another five-pack of coils to go along with the five that we already received - from FastTech, of course. Our purchases were declined twice; so, we contacted the bank, and got that straightened out. FastTech had the payment, and, then... our order status changed. Our coils, which were to ship with the tanks, were pushed forward to the 13th of August. So, we complained. They told us, in their limited American English, to "...have patience...".
This morning, we received a message through our FastTech app in the Android that they have cancelled the order, and we should receive our $52.38 back in our account in 3-5 business days; and, that if we wish to re-order, we would have to go through PayPal. So, now, we're going to have to wait even longer...
I fully understand that there is fraud through 'robot' purchasing using stolen credit cards, and, that this new world economy has to have some checks and balances - to keep all businesses around the world safe, and solvent. However, we have a history with FastTech, using the same bank card that we've always used. Why on Earth did they decide to do this? To make matters worse, we have to share our personal banking information via bank card with another corporate entity, PayPal - which is its own company now, no longer in a business partnership with eBay. My American freedoms are being eroded, every day. I'm so upset about this.
To top things off, we had made purchases for eLeaf iStick 50W mods, through FastTech on July 3. We ended up receiving Euro models; and, my wife-to-be's Rose Red iStick didn't even work coming out of the box. I already have an eLeaf USA charger for my iStick 30W, which worked perfectly with my Blue iStick 50W - hers, however, wouldn't even take a charge. So, we went through the song and dance with FastTech about returning the defective unit - they dragged things out, then made requests for pictures... then, they asked for a video. So, I made one, and posted it on our YouTube account, that my lady handles - it's a promotional page for my music, with videos of LOveWerks playing and singing.
The video, however, got their attention. We finally got an RMA number from them. Yet, so much time had passed that we were forced to ship the defective unit to Cloud Commerce Systems in Miami, FL - FastTech's location for receiving defective orders from North and South America - and, to stay within our warranty, we had to ship it Next Day Air. Damn it.
We're disabled, so we're tight with a buck. Spending $80 + on iStick 50Ws locally isn't in our financial budget. So, I guess we have to wait.
Long post. Sorry about that. I've got an @$$ache from my medical exam, and an @$$ache from dealing with people from the Far East who think people from the 'Western World' are without integrity, and scruples.
