Help building a coil

Just got my first rebuildable, a gt-t v2 clone from FastTech, and I can't seem to get my coils built correctly. I used Steam Engine and to hit .7 Ohms with 28g kanthal, 1mm diameter wrap, with 3mm leg length on a single coil, I need to wrap 7 times. I did, and I'm getting almost double ohm reading as to what I should be (1.44ohms is what the reader says). Would doubling the wraps of this coil technically cut that ohm reading in half?

On a single coil build, you would have to REDUCE the wraps by half to reduce the resistance by half.

I did what you said and got a .66 coil, thanks bro! It's vaping like a champ now!
