Hi folks. I was using the Aspire Nautilus tank with the Sigelei mini which is my first mod/tank. I'm starting to get more into this so I recently purchased the Aspire Triton but feel (and research confirmed) that this mod isn't really great for this new, awesome tank. I was looking to upgrade. Looking at the IPV4S or the itaste MVP 3.0 Pro. Thoughts and opinions? Not sure what more wattage gets me really. Still a newb! Thanks.

I have the IPV4s since they started selling. No complaints here. Feels better in my hand than my Sigelei 100 Plus and 150W. If you're interested in TC, it's doing an excellent job with it as well.

Both of these are great. But the MVP doesn't have temp. control if that's a requirement.

TC = Temperature Control. The device is adjusting the power according to the temperature and Joule settings, when utilizing a Ni200 or Titanium wire for your coil(s). No dry hits.

TC is Temperature Control, more accurately temp limiting mode. I highly recommend the IPV3Li. 165 watts out of the box, and software updatable to 200 watts. It's built very well, and has fast become my favorite mod. You can find them for under $80 online.

I wish i knew if i was interested in that or not! I just really started getting into this so still learning the lingo and the technicalities behind settings and such. Still pretty lost. Is that important? My buddy is telling me to get the eleaf istick 50w. Raves about it. Other people tell me to get the IPV4s. Just not sure what to do.

Is the IPV3Li tasty? I feel that my sigelei mini just doesn't provide that much flavor and certainly isn't really a good match with my Aspire Triton. Is the IPV3Li hard to use? I mean I'm trying to get into vaping more but I don't want it to be overly time consuming as it's mainly for enjoying :) Your time posting is very much appreciated!

The IPV3Li is very easy to use in my opinion. I don't own a Triton, but it's worked great with the tanks I do have (several OBS T-VCT's Kanger sub tank, etc. TC is great, there is no ramp up time when you fire it, you instantly get vapor unlike using kanthal. I can run my tanks dry and never get a dry hit, or singed wick. If the wick runs dry, it will kill the power to the coil. Since I got a Ni200 coil for the subtank, I haven't even had it back in power mode.

I also have an IStick 50, and while it's a good mod, it does have it's drawbacks. I'm not a real fan of captive battery mods any more because once the battery wears out, the mod is toast. I much prefer being able to just switch out batteries when they need charging. Also, while I haven't had any issues with my IStick, there have been more than a few on here who have had problems with it.( auto firing, display blanking out, etc.).

If you liked the sig mini a nice step up would be the sig 75 tc. I just got mine a week ago and it's great. You can use it in power mode as you do know and can switch to temp control when you are ready. I've had the triton and it would work great on the sig 75. Putting nickle coils on the triton is a great tasting temp vape. Good luck on your search

More wattage allows you to fire some of the newer sub-ohm tanks that now have up to 4 coils in them (Smok makes one, a TFV4 that I believe they recommend starting at 75 watts ). TC mods can also be used as VW (Variable wattage) mods. Most of the better mods now come TC equipped. What you need to ask yourself is do you want a single 18650 mod or a duel 18650 mod?

Single 18650
Sig 75 TC, IPV D2 are very popular.
Pros: Smaller, generally less expensive
Cons Shorter Battery Life between recharges, limited to about 75 watts

Dual 18650
IPV3 Li, IPV4S, Sig 150TC, Snow Wolf 200 are all very popular
Pros: Longer battery life, up to 200 watts
Cons: Bigger, generally more expensive

These are not by any means all inclusive lists, just the ones that come off the top of my head that I think you would like. You should be able to find all of these online for under $100

Personally I really like the IPV3 Li. 200 watts (after the upgrade), supports both Ni200 and Ti01 in TC, built very sturdy and feels good/solid in my hand. Good luck!

Cheers,
Steve

Hi Steve. This is AWESOME. Thank you for taking the time to write this. Sincerely appreciated. I think I'm going to go with the IPV3 Li per your recommendation. Any tips or anything I should be aware of is appreciated. Thank you again!

EDIT: I decided to cancel my order for the IPV3 LI. I watched a video online and it just looks so big! Gonna go with a single battery mod. I went hunting for the IPV D2 but can't find it in stock anywhere. Then I started reading about all the problems with it and seems that people recommend to wait a few months. Not sure what to do now....
