Snow Wolf 50w TC Mod Issues

Ok so I'm def an early adopter type and enjoy trying all types of stuff. As soon as I saw the looks of the Snow Wolf 50w I ordered one immediately. Out of the box impressions is its solidly made and super lightweight. The vape was great for about an hour and then buggy city started. Primarily when I changed juice in a tank and reconnected the tank to the mod. It was a bottom fill tank. No biggie. I noticed that the ohm readings were all over the place. It was a TC tank and I had locked it in but decided maybe it was just a one off weird thing. Let the tank cool down as usual then rechecked the res reading and it was double what it should be. With all types of coil material I tested on various tanks & RDA's.

The vendor I purchased it from requested a video of the behavior so I took a couple I will link to below on YouTube to give everyone an idea of what it was doing. They are cross shipping me another unit to try and said they will check its ohm readings prior to shipment which is nice. I actually asked them to vape on it for a couple hours if they have time to make sure it's solid but if they can't that's cool.

Anyway just thought I'd share. Hopefully it's just a lemon and the new one will work as it should.

I pre-ordered a Colossal on 1/1/15 from Asmodus. I gave up a few weeks back and had them send me the Snow Wolf 50w. Yours is actually working better than mine. When I go to the resistance check it just sits blank with the dashes. It never reads anything. Every once in a while it would work, but it was very random. The whole thing has left me about half pissed off so I just put it on the shelf...

Did you press the + or - after hitting "res check" or whatever the hell it says lol. It won't check on its own.

It's a real shame man cause the box looks badass imo. It feels really solidly built. Guess the chip or the connector is shit. Guess we will see with the next one.

I honestly do not remember. I will get it out after work today and try it again.

I do like the uniqueness of this mod. It is a bit large to me. I am really enjoying the ipvD2 both in size and performance, heck, I even like the iStick 40WTC. It is my current backup.

Yeah I've only had the D2 a couple days but I def like it. I'm used to dual batt mods so the size of the SW doesn't bother me. I won't use it a whole lot anyway. I just dug the looks lol.

I got home and tried it. It is working fine. I had about decided to PIF, but I may keep it for a backup.

I can't really do the dual battery mods. They are just too large for me. The D2 is about the perfect size. I run it at 35J and 475F with a SauceCode and a Herkales Ni200 coil. It lasts nearly all day with a 25R.

Quick update. Received my replacement box. Read ohms accurately for one day then it was fubar'd again. The fire button sticks, reads check battery randomly with multiple batt's at full charge. What a POS. Sent this one back too. I'm done with this mod.

Hopefully the Sig 75w will work out better. Time will tell. Glad I've got plenty of other things to use. What a pita. Def the most issues out of a single mod model for me to date.

Oh yeah man they've been stellar with customer service. Paid for return shipping on both boxes and sending replacements via Priority Mail. No complaints whatsoever.

If it sucks I'll just buy a Hexohm I've got my eye on and be done with it. Lol. I know you have spoken highly of yours.
Dude fuckin loves it!!!! No tc, no screen no bells and whistles . just adjust the potentiometers till you like it(real taste control!)lol
I get all day on one set of batteries and I'm around 75w. Its like a consistently performing mechanical.
-with a killer warranty.

I will say if you get one, get the v2.1 its in their own box instead of a Hammond, so no hammond lean.

I passed and just swapped for the Sig 75w TC. It was a V2 and I didn't want another Hammond box mod. Price was great but I'd rather have the newer version if I get one.
