Tell you what- if it turns out you are ripped off I'm going to send you a Nitecore UM10 charger, a Samsung 25R battery and a UD Zephyrus Sub Ohm atty. I also have a Katady K Vapor V70 mod I can send, it's not TC or even high tech but it vapes fine and is in VG condition. These things aren't worth the amount of money you sent him but at least you will be vaping. I'm subbed to this thread and will be following along.

I try really hard to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but it's not looking good for the OP at the moment. I truly hope he makes good on the deal, but it sure does smell like a rip off currently. With any luck, @fumblefingers will get his money back.

I went through a rough time when someone stole my vape bag out of my car, it had almost *everything* in it, and people like you were what kept me from smoking and getting back up again. Since then, I have given away most of the stuff I couldn't/wouldn't use to vapers in need. I will also go through my stuff and see if there is anything left that I can pass on to him as well.

@fumblefingers congrats on successfully quitting smoking and switching over to vaping! I hope you never get taken like this again. I know it is something you have already figured out, but no one should EVER use the friends and family option to send money, unless it's really to a friend or family member. I got taken that way once as well, over in the classies on ECF. Not nearly as bad as you did, I at least got some of the stuff I expected, just not all of it, and it wasn't in the condition it was advertised in. I did try to fight it through the forums, but they were quick to point out that the instructions clearly say NOT to use the F&F method for payment. Thankfully, I wasn't out a lot of cash.

I will try to rectify that soon as I can. I left for a few, to do a better job of "filling in the blanks" on my account. I've decided I'd like to be a more serious member of this group. I think there's a known scammers thread around here somewhere, add this douche bags name and Address to it. So others aren't ripped off. Also like someone else said file a CC claim even though you did go gift option with PP you can still dispute with the card you used through PP.

'62-'66, it probably was from your time in blue. His name was LTC Bob Bigrigg. He was a highly distinguished F105 "Wild Weasel" fighter pilot with 3 tours in Vietnam, and more than 100 missions. He earned a silver star and distinguished flying cross, among many other awards. It was something he never talked about, and I never knew until he passed, all I knew was that he too was a retired brother in arms.

"Wild Weasel" - that guy had balls of steel. That was the most dangerous job in the air, and the 105 was known as the "Thud" - exactly what it did if it had a flame-out, and that happened frequently. There's at least a chance something happened on a personal level that is more important than selling something here. I just find it hard to believe he set out to scam someone for such a small amount, comparatively speaking. And there's the fact I made him an offer via PM for $65.00, he countered with $70.00- if he were a scammer, I would think he'd have taken my $65.00 and also taken FF's money, too. Would have been very easy to do because FF and I were both dealing w/him using PM, and we were in contact with him at the same time.

OK, GUYS & GALS - I just got an email from JV - say's he's sending it out (19 days late). We'll see. Maybe being famous changed his plans. I don't know, but this has been a learning experience for me. I still have to trust folks, because, being as broke as we are, only way I can add to my goodies is going to be buying used, or possibly continue watching the clearance sales (not now - later, hopefully). I love genesis tanks, and my most fave so far is my Smok RSST. Gotta check the forums, and see if there is a sub-group. (So far, I found out about the Vets, and I will be checking them out soon.) Maybe I will see if there is one for Fat, Old, Tired, Broke Guys.

Anyway, I want to thank all of you for your kind words of encouragement. This experience with all of you, has really lightened the load. I'm a big boy, so I haven't been sitting around crying, but I've been mad as hell, and in a foul mood. Ya'll have really been good for that.
