My Egrip dropped its guts onto the meeting table - what the hell?

After months of flawless, leak-free operation, my Egrip (v1) and its RBA base finally decided to act up - and in spectacular fashion, too: I was stealth-vaping in a meeting at work yesterday, hiding the mod behind my mug as I always do, when out of the blue, the tank emptied its entire content on the table, creating a small puddle of pungent RY4. My colleagues were less than impressed. So much for stealth...

I've tried rebuilding it twice, and with a brand-new RBA base too, but it just won't hold the liquid in. The best I can do is stuff it silly with cotton to contain the leak a little, but it still leaks like somebody's incontinent grandmother. So I suppose something in the mod is toast.

Has this happened to you? Any idea how to fix it - if it's possible at all?

I'm new to the mod, haven't had the leak issues, but again I haven't used them as long as you have. I do know you can buy spare bases for them, but so far I have not had to use any of the spares I bought yet.
Also they come with several different spare O-rings, that may have been the problem on yours? a bad seal/O-ring?

Maybe @AmandaD will chime in. I know she's an avid fan/user of the EGrip.

I don't know that tank but if it relys on vacuum to keep juice in, a worn or torn oring is most likely the culprit.

Oh no! I wonder if that piece of white silicone is damaged (the piece inside the tank)?

There's some white blubber oozing out between the bottom of the tank and the casing. It's always been there. I doubt it's silicone though: it looks more like hot glue that's showing through.

Anyway, I tried a 3rd RBA base, and now it's stopped leaking. I reckon it's just a fluke. Maybe that particular RBA base has O-rings that are a tad larger or something. So this show is back on the road for now :)

Glad you got that problem fixed!
