Herbie! From "The Love Bug"

Some kinda ice cream treat that don't remember ever seeing.

And that batter usually had raw eggs in it that no one cared about. I've licked plenty of beaters as a kid and still lived to tell about it.
The plastic cup treat was a screwball vanilla iced cream ( sometimes w/chocolate or strawberry swirl and in the bottom of the cup was a different flavored Gum Ball, weird concept and didn't go over too well.

Remember when electric can openers looked like this AND WORKED.
We bought a new one, not only was it a piece of junk but it only worked half the time
We took it back and got a different one, it wasn't much better but it does work, I want one of these good old ones

May be an image of grinder, coffee maker and text

That is my exact can opener!!!! As far as I know, it still works, however, mine is packed in a box out in the shed because I don't have counter space for it in my tiny kitchen. I have to use a hand can opener that fits in the silverware drawer. My dad got me that electric can opener, and a matching hand beater, as a present when I got my first apartment at 17 years old. I still use the hand beater to this day. (The hand beater is a Sunbeam, but it's that same sick yellow color, LOL!)

Yeah, that can opener and the beaters are 50 years old now, and probably cost less than $10 each when they were new.

Ewww, and let's not forget washing out the poopy ones in the toilet before throwing them in the washer. I'm sorry, I could never do that. I could barely watch mom do it. My mom did it for five kids, and if for nothing else, she should have gotten a medal for THAT.

Gah, every Sunday night at 7:00!

It's time to make the doughnuts! ROFL! I'm ancient! I still say that a lot of mornings when I'm getting out of bed. The cats just look at me like they don't know WTF a doughnut is. Stoopid cats. :giggle:

Those glass grapes brought back a lot of memories. They were way prettier than the plastic ones my mom started with. Then she found some glass ones, and at least they looked like a table centerpiece. Hers were purple, very pretty.

I also still quote another old but popular commercial quite frequently. When I've put too much on my plate for dinner and then go ahead and eat it. Then I say, "I can't believe I ate the WHOLE THING!"

You guys remember that one, don't you?
Wow long time since I have heard that one, thank you for memory my friend :bliss:

That was from an Alka-Seltzer commercial from 1972.

This came up after the Alka Seltzer commercial, what a ride! I remembered almost every one of them (some of them like it was yesterday), and totally didn't realize at the time how many big stars started out in commercials, LOL! Quite a trip down memory lane if you have 15 minutes or so to watch it. :)
