Hey guys! So i have been vaping with my Aspire Atlantis Sub-Ohm battery and tank for a few week and I love it! However I was wondering how well it would go with a Sigelei 150W Box mod, Is it too much? And is it safe to run a sub ohm tank on that 150W? Thanks guys!

Also open for other suggestions and powerful mods to go with my Aspire Atlantis!

Awesome hpws the performance and what would be the best kind of MOD for cloud chasing I have heard mechanical and others claim look for higher power.

i would suggest going with a IPV4 just for the fact that u will never need the 100 to 150 watt its way to much for the atlantis and most mods actually. plus the option for temp control is very nice. you would need nickle coils for that but you can also run it in regular mode. just my 2 cents but i also own a sigelei 150 and it is a nice box no problem ever with it

Should work fine, just turn down the power on the sig 150 to whatever you currently use for the Atlantis.
Nice thing about buying an 'over powered' mod is you'll be set for anything you might decide to do or try in the future and not need to upgrade again.

If you get a sigelei 150w, it all depends on the resistance you are running in your tank. If you get a lower resistance coil you should be able to increase the wattage a bit. I'm running a ipv4 x freemax starre pro and find .25 ohm coils to be good around 70 watts and the .15 ohm coils at around 80-90 watts. If you don't plan on going that high, I'd recommend an ipv4 or sigelei 75w for the temp control.

I have both the sigelei 150 and the ipv4, the atlantis tank is fine on both but with the coil limits I wouldn't turn either box up over 80 watts. However if you are looking for pure awesomeness out of the atlantis put it on a hexohm or an LE80 box. Those boxes are awesome!

The IPV4 isn't bad per se, but the SIG enclosure is definitely much nicer.

Yep, everything you need and nothing you don't!
Brutal simplicity

I will totally disagree with you and call BS on this. No one can know what someone will want or need to run. For example, I run my smpl and derringer built good for about 120w, will be running running my mosfet box at about 150w. That said, a quick google search on the coils power limits and intended levels (Atlantis Coil Wattage Range) should tell you what to use. I am a Tim Allen when it comes to mods, it can never have enough power. The Sig 150 is well respected and seasoned. I say go for it. Also, if you feel adventurious and wanna have some fun, get a rba head for it and go as crazy as you want (safely)

The sigeli will work just fine with the atlantis. Just pay attention to what the resistance level is on the coil and don't exceed it unless you want to burn up the coil. Now I've ran my atlantis on almost every kind of mod, variable power, unregulated/ regulated box, mechanical mods and so on and it works great on everything. Now if you want a nice inexpensive clearomiser in my opinion look into the smok vtc pro, I'm currently running it on my ipv4s and I can fog up a room easily. I have .6 and .2 ohm coils for it and you can run either from 30-80w. Also the ipv4s is a great mod that goes to 120w but can go higher if you update the firmware from pioneer for you's website and has temp control mode if you want to do nickel or titanium coil builds in an rda which is nice.

Now when it comes to cloud chasing, power in a sense is important but there are many factors that go into it, not just getting some super powerful setup and going with it. Cloud chasing is an art form and takes practice. Now an unregulated box mod running 2 18650 batteries is a great start for your mod and you will need a good rda. You don't necessarily need a competition rda but look for one with really good airflow cause airflow is very important. I suggest some of cloud chasers inc rda's cause they are designed for well.....cloud chasing lol. Also the coil build you use, the way it's wicked, the juice you use, I recommend 100% vg, and your technique are all very important. When it comes down to it though it's all by preference and in the end it's your hard earned money buying it all. Anyways that's my input. Have fun with it and enjoy it to its fullest but mostly be safe with it.

I dont fully agree with you as I have pushed a eGo ONE coil past its intended 40w (60w) and the problem it has is wicking not burning out. The thing about atlantis coils is they will burn liquid when overpowered not burn coils.
An atlantis itself is a cloud chaser tank. Seen people chuck clouds the size I do with my twisted messes compvape rda with one.
150w will be fine, just set wattags at about 30 ease it upward til ya find your personal sweetspot.

I'm just going off my personal experience and if I ever exceed the recommended rating for to long I burned out the coils not just the juice or cotton

Ive had the same problem especially on the Atlantis and Triton tanks. I can burn up a coil in a second but at 70W i produce lots of clouds and lots of flavor. So far I don't really use any of my devices higher than 70-80 watts because I almost always get a burn hit when i do. I have heard the Herkales tank is awesome for a cloud chaser tank but that is just what i have heard.

The way I do it is just buy a rba head for whatever tanks I get for three reasons. 1) cheaper to build your coils than buy replacements 2) can build them to any ohms you want 3) no matter the ohms they seem to handle wattage lots easier.

I just started doing that, I have two boxes of coils that i need to rebuild and the flavor when i do rebuild is a lot better than with the factory aspire coils. besides aspire has a problem with their quality control on those coils, it seems i get one or two out of every box that is bad from the get-go.

I run an atlantis tank on a IPV D2 75w mod. I run it around 30w. I get nice clouds and 1 battery will last all day as long as I dont have the thing stuck to my mouth all day. It's small and works very well for me.

I upgraded from a cf mod. So much better, it's hard to explain.

I use a V1 Atlantis with the .3 coils at 40watts on my Sig 150, and it is a great combo of flavor and vapor. I think you will be happy with it.

I've had my atlantis for over 8 months now. I have yet to a bad coil out of the box. How hard are they to rebuild? And what's the best cotton for it? Do you replace the wire? Or do you make new? Or do I need to buy one of the new rebuildable coils?

I use the coils out of the box, redo the kanthol, and put regular Japanese cotton in it. I pack it kinda tight to keep the juice from leaking too much. You can look up how to rebuild the coil on youtube, it isn't as hard as it sounds.

What size wire do you use? And i take it you use flat cotton? (or whatever it's called)

26 gage kanthol, flat Japanese Cotton and a 6 wrap has me at 0.3 ohms. Next build I am going to try bamboo cotton.
