For a while in the USAF I would grow my hair on the sides longer than regulation and use the do to keep it up so it looked in regulation. Off duty I didn't look total military. This was in the Vietnam era.My sister used to use those
And all the interesting and inventive cuss words that fly when the motor DOESN'T fire at 3:00 am.
I worked for 20 years for moving companies and dealt with truck drivers every day. They were the most polite people on the planet, and never cussed in front of me. All my cussin' was learned under the hood of a race car.

Yes I agree, when I was in school girls were required to wear dresses or skirts, even the ones that walked a long ways. I always thought "how can they stand that cold on those bare legs"

Yup, that was me. Catholic school, pleated wool skirt and saddle shoes (OMG! UGLY!) were the uniform, along with wool knee socks and a wool sweater over a cotton blouse. It was so awful, but on the other hand, I never had to decide what to wear, LOL! BUT, I only bring that up because wearing a dress in all weather from such a young age, you get used to having cold legs. Or your legs get used to being cold. Anyway, I always laugh at the guys who can't wear shorts if it's below 70 degrees. I tell 'em you should try waiting for the school bus in freezing temps in a skirt!
I remember as a kid a root beer stand by where we lived served a tall frosty root beer float
We would cut grass in the summer for extra money and would always stop and get a nice tall root beer float on the way home. They taste extra good when your workin and hot

I remember thinking I wish I had the money to get one. Five kids in school, though, we couldn't afford hot lunches, so we had to bring our sandwiches and apples in a lunch box. I still remember the smell of that lunch box...
I only played once or twice at the neighbor's house, but I always liked the little Scotty dog.
Mmmm, tastes like peppermint! LOL! I never worked up enough courage to eat any, myself, but a lot of kids in my class (first grade) did, and they said it was like peppermint candy. It sure SMELLED like peppermint. I hope it was non-toxic!

Never played it as a kid but my son was obsessed with it for awhile so I played it a lot as an adult. Also Uno Dice, Uno Stack-o, Uno Rummy-Up, and more. Kid had some monkey on his back!
It was a softer landing in water. The best place to have piggyback wars in the lake or swimming pool.Who remembers piggyback wars
