Hey ill probably order those beast alien coils next week man these coils are bad a, killer vapor and the flavor is awesome, using some of uncle mikes premium liquid called orgasm taste just like blue raspberry cotton candy.
No, but I do have a pile like that of DIY stuff. If I ever need advanced coils, I know who to go to
Jamey, surprisingly no. It isn't too hot nor popping a lot.
The framed staple isn't my (current) favorite coil though. I am sort of stuck on alien wire right now. It is a serious p-i-t-a to make (big time) and a takes a lot of wire but there is something about the surface area, the nooks and crannies, and the wicking property that is wonderful. So far of the alien wire i can make .... the 24 (x3), 26 (x3) and 28(x3) core wires.... i like the 28 most. (I am working on a 30g x3 core.) I have been able to do the outer alien wrap with wire as thin as 40g... and it is truly an amazing vape for flavor and cloud.
Watch twisted messes video on the unique wicking properties of this coil. Crazy.
Got my titanium wire in and been playing around with different specialty builds for Temp Control.
The first is a standard clapton with 24g Ti core and 26g Ti wrap. Dual. 3mm. .09 ohms
The last one is a fused clapton with 26g Ti (x2) wrapped in 40g Ka1. Dual 2.4mm .09ohms
So far i am impressed.

It does look cool but there is much more going on that asthetic appeal. The inside has three wires of the same gauge and the outer is a kind of variation of the Clapton wrap.
You make 26g alien (just for example) by first making a Clapton on 24g... Usually something 8 gauges higher (smaller) than core.
(Crucial step...Remember the direction you wrap it.) Then you decore it. (Slide inside wire out). This leaves you a giant "spring" of sorts. Then you stretch that spring just the right amount. (Practice!) Then get your 3 strands of 26 and wrap that stretched spring around them in the opposite direction. (Won't work the other way). The goal is to get them to wrap tight and close.
The challenge in this coil is when doing the final reverse wrap there is no margin for error. If you mess up you can't unwind and do it again because it messes up the curve of the spring. You also Must be careful when wrapping coil on whatever mm size not to spread the alien.
Very very tough build to get perfect especially with smaller gauges. My favorite is 28x3 with 38 outer.
When heating this coil it is like a fused Clapton but more core wire and tons of nooks and crannies for juice. It literally hold juice and wicks itself. So I guess that (beyond looking cool) is what makes it so great.

Check out the video in post #61. Twisted Messes does a great job of showing the amazing wicking properties of the Alien wire coil. I have to say I love the way this looks, but is more of a PITA than I want to deal with.
Just popping in to vouch for @BUDKISS as a seller - he had a pack of coils out to me lickety-split, like the day after payment. He also took notes on my vaping style and equipment via PM, so hopefully the coils should work as well as they look in my 60ish watt non-TC world.
I've been meaning to post on this for several days, but I've been too swamped to even spend much time with the forum at all, let alone attempt the photo shoot and review these beauties deserve...hopefully in the next few days!

Coils arrived! Holy clouds, things are fricken awesome! Beyond happy, heck I'm not even 100% I have it all set up right hahaha but I love them. Currently using:
The fused Clapton is good. I use it often. Lately digging the alien wire staggered w nichrome.
That particular coil is two pieces of 28 g kanthal wrapped with a single nichrome 38g). The mix of wire heats up differently (speed). Nooks and crannies in coil hold juice well for great flavor and clouds.

Okay, I'm FINALLY getting around to posting...like I said before, great response time from @BUDKISS - package arrived with three dual builds as expected, plus two more singles as a bonus.
First install: basic Clapton duals - 26g Kanthal wrapped in 38g Kanthal, 2.4 mm ID at 6 wraps. Running this on a YEP RDA with chuff cap...
Looks nice, my install job could have been a bit better...
Pulsing nicely at 55 watts, a couple pinches with tweezers got them evened up even better...
Wicked up and ready to go...
...and WOW! This pic doesn't do justice to the build...I didn't post the build on an ohm meter around 0.45, but this thing produces quite nicely, as well as any 22g build I've done on my own. But that's only half the battle - the flavor! Oh my, is this tasty...wicks like a dream and keeps on kicking up to 65 watts, which is as high as I've pushed it so far. Next re-wick I need to mix up one of my flavors I actually like, right now I'm in the middle of refining a couple new recipes that aren't quite there yet.
Can't wait to try the fused Claptons, the mixed Kanthal/Ni80 twisted, and the single alien/staged setups...but I imagine I'll be happy as a clam with this one for the next few weeks. Kudos!

Hey man, well everything is well at home maybe by wensday ill b ordering a set from u, love that alein wire i wont b able to have builds below .15 ohms dropped the snolwolf on a concrete floor so good riddens lol, but my new boxer mod is yihi 350j at 150 watts so i guess ill b using it, as soon as i get it all setup ill let u know going to order me an authentic velocity rda thinking on trying out some alien in it, but as soon as everything is in place ill order from u again.

New coil time...the Claptons lasted about two weeks, and I've got to say regular wire will likely never make me feel whole again...
Next up: mixed 28g twisted - I think this is a 28g Kanthal A1 twisted with a 28g Ni200. No pics this time around.
First thoughts: disappointing, or I was spoiled by the Clapton coils. Minimal flavor with a warm, consistent cloud, considerable spitback.
Then I cranked up the wattage. These guys need 70 watts to really sing, which is a bit more than I normally run. Happily vaping with minimal spit at 72-74 watts and much-improved flavor, still not what I got out of those Claptons. Been rocking this build about a week now, will probably keep it in for another couple re-wicks and then pitch it for my third and final set of duals, a fused Clapton setup I'm very much looking forward to...
