I realize that I asked an opinion based question. So please answer and give me a little reason as to why it is the best please. I haven't started my diy juice yet. Just looking for some info before. So I dont end up buying 100 different brands.

Thanks for taking the time to answer this :)
It will be much appreciated

Sometimes different brands are what it takes to get you where you want to be. Good luck.

Oh, to answer your question: I like FA for the bulk of my flavors because they seem to be very "realistic" flavorings and a little bit goes a long way, but there are some "must haves" from other flavor companies that FA does not cover or cover as well, so you have to do your research and read, read read the forums to accumulate opinions then go and try it for yourself.

Overall I'd have to say FA. They seem to be more consistent across the line (both strength and realistic taste). That being said there are around 15 TFA flavors I consider must haves and at least 3 from Capella.

Cheers,
Steve

One question though What does FA and TFA stand for? Sorry still new and unsure of the abbreviations:)

I would say Flavour Art (minus some fruits, ex : orange, pineapple, mango are not bad but not great). It's easier to work with FA because 2% to 5% is good with most flavors. There is place to build complex recipes (without outrageous final percentage of flavoring).

It would be good to list what kind of flavors you are going for in your DIY mixes to recommend which would work the best. For custards Capella Vanilla Custard and Mama J's Game Over Custard seem to be the most popular. For strawberry Capella and TFA are among the most popular and so on.

Like others have stated FA is really popular but not all there flavors are the best.

Yeah I guess that makes sense lol. But yes Custard flavors are the biggest as well as strawberry. I wouldnt mind trying a RY4 blend as well

Vanilla Custard, Sweet Strawberry, and New York Cheesecake = Capella

Strawberry Ripe, Cheesecake w Graham Cracker Crust, RY4 Double (imo RY4D by TFA is the undisputed RY4 champion), Sweet Cream, Bavarian Cream, and Vanilla Swirl = TFA

These are just a few of my favorites off the top of my head.

Caps Custard version 1 or 2 ( version 1 being the tastiest but has the bad stuff in it if it matters) and Caps Sweet Strawberry will get you to where you are going. Get all the FA Creams and FA Vanilla Classic to play with in that Custard and in the Sweet Strawberry as well.

Opinions from past and present use. :)

Cant help on the RY4. Someone else needs to chime in on those flavorings.

Go to the recipies section and look for something that looks good to you, and make sure there are enough posative posts that say it was good to others when they tried them ;) Then order you up a few flavors and give it a try.

I love me some Capella Sweet Strawberry and TFA Ripe Strawberry, probably the 2 most popular SB flavors around. I also have FA SB but need to test it out more. I am pretty sure the Cap and TFA SB I mentioned above are the flavors you will find in a lot of store bought brands.

I have yet to try Mama J's Game Over Custard, the only reason I haven't yet is because of the caution: This product contains Acetyl Propionyl and/or Acetoin. please research the use of these ingredients before choosing to purchase this product. I got into DIY so I can be careful of what goes into my e juice but I really do appreciate the fact that they are upfront about what is in it. Really it is still way safer than smoking even with those added ingredients so I may make an exception for GO Custard one of these days as the reviews on here are stellar.

I use the V2 version of Cap vanilla custard as it is supposed to be free of the bad stuff. I really like it but it is way better after letting it steep for a week or 2.

I wish all brands were like FA though, a little goes a long way as 1% to 5% is usually more than enough for FA flavors. Most other flavors usually average between 5% to 15% to work the same as FA. I am currently in lust with FA Cookie, tasty and then some. FA makes some great creams as well and overall is the best line of flavors, I just prefer strawberry and custard from other makers.

I agree. FA cookie is a must have for many concoctions. The FA Strawberry tastes just like a real Strawberry which to say is spot on for closing your eyes and tasting a REAL strawberry, unfortunately it is too weak to taste in a mix for my taste buds and I hate that. I must have Caps Sweet Strawberry to make a stellar Strawberries and cream.

@mjag, yesterday I made some Dragons Blood and instead of using 3 percent TFA Strawberry Ripe. I used 2 percent along with 1 percent FA Strawberry. I really like the combination. I'd say the TFA and Capella offerings are sweeter (like in a sugary syrup). FA's is more like an unsweetened strawberry. Imo, the mix hit the nail on the head.

Cheers,
Steve

Great list, got me hungry for a vape :)

One thing I wanted to add is that if you like sweet store bought brands then make sure you add some Sweetener to your first order and start of at about 1% to 1.5%. You can also use Ethyl Maltol, Cotton Candy, Marshmallow and a few other flavors to sweeten as well but just TFA Sweetener is a good place to start. Not a lot of recipes include sweeteners around here and a lot are sweet enough without it but it is way worth it to order along with your other flavors when you first get started.

http://www.ecigexpress.com/ Got 2 big orders from them and check out there facebook page for discount codes. Great prices and selection.

http://www.bullcityvapor.com/ Probably my favorite vendor all around, great prices and fast shipping. Doesn't carry nicotine right now though.

http://www.onestopdiyshop.com/ Only ordered from them once recently but was impressed with the speed of shipping and customer service

To that list I'll add Mama J's for FA and their own custom Flavorings. You have to try the Game Over Custard at least once (it's that good imo). Almost forgot great people to deal with!

I've also ordered a few times from Wizard Labs. They carry, Nic, PG, VG, supplies. Including flavoring from TFA and Capella.

As for the RY4, Hangsen RY4 is as good as it gets for me. Any HS tobacco flavoring, for that matter. They are all very good standalone and very versatile for mixing.

I am real partial to FA {no diketones} I do use some TFA and a couple Caps. Good luck with your mixing venture.

All the major flavor companies have both winners and losers.
I use most all of them but only a couple from LA & NF & VZ.
Hard to name the best flavor company overall.

Major Players:
CAP=Capella
FA=FlavourArt
FE=Flavors Express from ECX
FW=Flavor West
HS=Hangsen
INW=Inawera
TFA/TPA/Fa

More Like:
CAP has the best Vanilla Custard
FA has the best Coconut
TFA has the best(maybe only) Brown Sugar
FW has the best Butter Pecan
FE has the best Blackberry besides VZ ( but I think they're the same thing)

Well, you get the idea anyway, and everyone has their favorites.
Learning which ones as you go.
