Been using the Kanger Subox for a little over a month now. I'm really enjoying it. Been cranking at 40-45w last few days with the .5 vertical coil. Was at my favorite shop today almost pulled the trigger on a Herkales tank and an iPV4s 120w. Got to thinking for a minute and wanted to get some opinions from you guys. Was wondering if going with the Herkales/iPV4s would really be that BIG of a jump from what I am using now as far as flavor and cloud or maybe even "overkill" for what I'd be using it for. I don't rebuild or drip, with my job and kids I really don't have time. I just want good warmth, flavor, and cloud. If it really wouldn't be that big of a "jump" going to the Herkales/iPV4S as far as flavor and cloud then I'm going to hold off. Any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated.

I have the 100w IPV4/Herkales and like it
That said I like the Maganus too..
I think you'll like the IPV4s ..I've got 5 IPV mods I vape in rotation... No issues at all...just my 2 cents, lol

I appreciate it. Any input helps me out lol. What wattage do you run your Herkales at? I was weighing between the 1oow and 120w IPV4's

I have two 150w IPV3's, two 100w IPV4's and the 75w IPVD2 on the far left
I vape in rotation..
I run the Herkakes (not shown) at about 48w and the Maganus with the .5 coil at about 45w...I like the Maganus over the the Herkakes because of better airflow.. I'm a lung hitter, and I can get some nice deep pulls off this tank...but the Herkakes is no slouch, just a little tight on the airflow ...IPV mods were a good choice for me...been vaping them everyday with no issues at all...just sayin

I was just doing some research. Seems the Herkales "maxes out" at 100 watts with the .6 coil. If that is the case I'll probably go for the 100w IPV4 if I decide to buy this setup.

Sounds good...I seldom vape any of these subtanks above 60w..
Even the .2 ohm coil in the Arctic is too hot for me above 55w...
I do vape the .22 ohm dual 24g nichrome build in the Dark Horse at about 75w when I'm in the mood to blow clouds... The 100w IPV4 works great for that...lol

I believe it would be a noticeable upgrade in flavor and vapor production IMHO. While the Herakles can go up to 100W seldom do people vape it that high. As @smacksy said much more than 60W on most sub-ohm tanks is overkill

It's is a bit of a jump. You will need a couple 18650 batts and a charger if you don't already have one. I use the Herakles on my Vapor shark w/NI200 coils and the vapor and flavor are pretty impressive. (40 watts.) I know you will be happy with that set-up your looking at.

Thanks for your response. I've got batteries but no charger. I've been to 3 shops in the last 2 days (Houston area) and when I ask if they carry the Herkales or Crown tanks each time they look at me like "huh wtf" and tell me no. Looks like if I do end up getting something I will have to order it.

Ok. I am sitting here thinking, and I think I am confusing myself lol. What I am thinking is, right now I am using a .5 coil on my Kanger Sub. I do not plan on ever building coils or dripping. I've never used nickel coils or anything lower than a .5. If I plan on sticking to the .5 coils, do I really "need" to upgrade? Right now I'm vaping 3mg 100 percent VG juice at 45W on my Kanger. I appreciate everyone's advice, I'm still just not sure what to do. I'm looking for more flavor/cloud without having to drip or build.

Different setups will perform differently, most aspects of vaping are purely subjective and what is right for you might not be right for the next guy. You have to take the opinions of others with a grain of salt. If what you have is working for you then an upgrade is not really necessary. There is nothing wrong with the setup you have and its affordability for the performance it offers makes it a good value. That being said no you dont need to upgrade but at the end of the day if you want more vapor and flavor production there are certainly plenty of other options available.

Thanks. Well I made up my mind late last night and splurged lol. Ordered the IPV4S, a Uwell Crown tank, and a battery charger last night from Vape Royalty and it shipped today. Also stopped by my favorite shop today and picked up a Herakles tank, a box of .6 coils, and a bottle of Mewes Juice "Sugar Tits" (lol). All that is left is ordering some batteries and I should be good to go. Thanks to everyone for posting up with their help/opinions. I really appreciate it as I am still kind of new to this (4-5 months).

You will love the ipv4s and the crown! I started vaping on the kanger sub tank mini kit also and about 2 months ago I bought a ipv4s then a ipv d2 then the uwell crown and the clouds and flavor are way better, my kanger kit is now boxed up and sitting in the bottom of my draw and if I'm not dripping I'm using my d2 and my crown.. Anyways good luck and I hope you like your new setup!

I *think* you will find a dramatic difference in the flavor if nothing else. My experience with the SubTank is that the stock coils really mutes the flavor of the juices that I vape. Once I switched to the build deck, it was much better, but since you won't be building, that doesn't mean a thing for you.

Even without building my coils? I only use stock coils. Between work and kids I have zero extra time. :(
I would say definitively "yes". The coils for the Kanger Subtank are just miserable for flavor. If you like the flavor you are getting now, I would expect it to be even better with a tank that has good coils. Since everyone I have talked to has said the coils for the Crown are fantastic, you should easily get better flavor and performance. At least that is my current expectation, I plan to order it once I am done traveling for work. I'll be watching for your comments to confirm though :)

I was able to pick everything up today from the post office. Finally got everything charged, loaded, and put together. I'm trying the Crown tank right now with the .5 coil. Wow. The flavor is MUCH better than the Kanger tank. The cloud doesn't seem as "thick", but I am using a different flavor than I was using in the Kanger. I am at 55w right now. This tank gets warm really quick, but not too warm for my liking. So far I am really enjoying it.

Typically as you go up in power the juice consumption goes up along with it.

Loving the Crown so far. Love the top fill. I know when I go up in power juice goes quicker, but damn, I think I've filled the tank 5 times today. I used half a tank of juice on the 40 minute drive home, and I don't consider myself a "chain vaper". Love the battery life so far on the IPV4S, still had about 3/4 battery life when I got home today.

Welcome to crown crowd. I vape it on my IPV4 and nothing i've vaped in the past compares. Thing is a beast. If there was something out there that produced more flavor, I wouldn't get it as it's borderline TOO flavorful lol. And yes, it drinks juice and has made me contemplate making my own juice to save money.
