What is the lowest voltage your M65's register when they fire? I know the specs state that it fires as low as 3 volts and I've read that it only registers down 3.4, but the lowest I've seen mine register is 3.6 when set to 8.5 watts on a 1.4 or 1.3 ohm. Not a big deal just curious if it is a device limitation or truly erroneous. Wouldn't exchange it either way, merely curious. Thanks for the replies.

At 6 watts on a 1.3 ohm coil mine is still reading 3.6 volts. It never registers below 3.6 volts. It never seems to register lower than 3.6.

Just tried pressing the reset buttin, same thing. Need batteries for multimeter to test its actual output. Is your an upgraded M50 or an M65?

I don't believe it has step down anyway, so it's not going to fire less than 3.6 volts anyway.

According to Smok it steps down to 3. A vendor website states it goes down to 3 but doesn't display lower than 3.4.

Same here, I got this thing stupid cheap. It does what it says. Actually even reads my atomizers at the same value as my Provari. Just my curiosity and OCD more than anything. Still curious if it does step down and such. I watched and read several reviews on it, but I had my beer goggles on at the time. Lol. Still satisfied with my purchase though. Especially for $29.99.

I think rhyno may be correct about the lack of step down. The voltage displayed does seem to have a direct correlation to the charge state of my battery. Kinda sucks cause I specifically chose this one based on Smok stating it had stepdown to 3 volts, as I don't subohm often and have yet to bother over 8.5 to to 10 watts ( even though I have apparently on accident if this thing doesn't stepdown).

I guess in summation, can someone point to some definitive info as to whether the M65 does indeed step down the voltage or not please. I can't seem to find anything. Thanks.

Just an update, I went to my local dealer where I purchased it and both display models didn't step down either. We finally opened a new one in box and it works great. Thanks for the replies everyone.
