Ok and this leads off my story
We have a Mexican family moved in 2 doors down, a man, his wife, and his sister. They always waved and I think said hi I don't speak the Spanish language So I would always give them some veggies. Well now there's and old lady and another family moved in with them, been about 2 years. One of the boys run through my garden last year and I told him to go around, well he did it again this year. This isn't why I have my soap box out. Yesterday my garden helper (Rabbit) had it's baby with her in the garden and the same boy I ran out of the garden was startin his into it and he had a blow gun trying to kill both little rabbits.
So I happened to see this goin on and had to holler real loud at him and he turned around and flipped me off.
I started to get real mad but that feeds the beast so I just let go, Jean isn't, she says if she catches him she'll take him straight to his parents. I hated to tell her but they probably don't care. :(:mad:

Jimi, do the parents really speak no English at all? They need to know their kid is behaving this way. A phone pic of him in action with his blowgun would help, but I know you have to move fast to catch something when it's happening.

We had a horrible mean kid in my neighborhood when I was growing up. Everybody hated him. We had visitors at my house one time, and we kids were sitting under a tree sharing taffy while the adults were inside. This little monster sneaked in the back gate, came up behind the littlest boy sitting among us, and dropped a brick on his head.

Use Deepl translate to say what is going on. Type it, then copy-paste it into Translate.deepl.com. Make sure it comes out correct. Then copy-paste the result onto a plain page, print it, take it to the parents and say "Lo siento pero yo no hablo Espanol. Habla usted Ingles? Okay, tenemos un problema.

Then give them your printout. There is some part of them that knows about the behavior of their boy. And a kid who behaves that way could be getting abused at home. I don't think mean cruelty comes out of nowhere.

Never mind @Jimi I did it.

The English:

I'm sorry but my only language is English. Do you speak English?

Your boy frequently enters my yard, thought I have asked him not to. He has trampled my vegetable beds. This time he came in with a blowgun and was about to kill my rabbit and her newborn baby. Can you please ask him to stay out of my yard? If not, I will have to consider calling the police.

The result in Spanish:

Lo siento, pero solo hablo inglés. ¿Habla usted inglés?

Su hijo entra a menudo en mi jardín, aunque le he pedido que no lo haga. Ha pisoteado mis huertos. Esta vez entró con una cerbatana y estaba a punto de matar a mi coneja y a su cría recién nacida. ¿Podrías pedirle, por favor, que no entre en mi jardín? Si no, tendré que plantearme llamar a la policía.

Well they were out in the yard when this went on they think it's alright for him to go around tourturin little animals  Yeah I am anything but fast:rolleyes: and I don't carry my phone and leave it a room away.

Yes and they are gettin worse all over

Well I don't have to cause they condone his actions the little brat so it's kinda like beatin your head on the wall. Well there's all kinds of goins on over there, just strange and the kids run wild.

I don't know where your outdoor tap is, but a sprinkler you can set off on the brat at just that moment would be helpful, especially if you can connect it specifically to gray water.

Even if the police wouldn't become involved in a neighbor kid dispute, the kid won't know that.

A suggestion I saw was a cactus fence where the kid comes in.

A loudspeaker with gunshot sounds?

Mention the police. The adults may have their own concerns about police.

@Jimi if you haven't contacted your neighbors about their brat, hold up a minute.

I haven't thought about much else this evening, than how you are a peaceful and benevolent dweller in your world, and now your peace is being disrupted by a little thug, just because you're in close proximity to him.

So here is my idea, and if you like it I'll translate it for you. Don't you have a big wooded area near your home? You have mentioned raccoons and ground hogs, among other things. So here is my idea for a discussion with the brat's parents.

-begin

Your boy uses my yard as a shortcut, though I have asked him to go around it. The food we grow is not for fun or a hobby. It is food for our daily table. It is how we can afford to eat. I want you to know, because our garden is invaded at night by many small animals from around here, which cause destruction to our food source, I will be putting out steel traps in random entry points. They won't kill a boy, but they hurt, and may cause broken bones. Please be aware of it, and warn the boy.

Call The Police !!!! Keep calling every time that little creep harasses, threatens and trespasses you and Jean. You will never win a war against teenagers. Sounds like he has friends encouraging his behavior which is scary.
Sorry you are going thru this, since it isn't you causing the problem.
Do not booby trap your yard- it is illegal, if he gets hurt he can sue you believe it or not. Put up No Trespassing signs, maybe buy some security cameras or a Ring type doorbell that has no subscription fee( I have that kind) so you have proof of trespassing or at least a warning so you can call police. Jimi let the police deal with him, please!

Snap, I'm not suggesting Jimi really put out steel traps, but just to say he is doing it. A bluff that could work, with, for good measure, signs that say "no trespassing. Steel animal traps in use".

I do like the idea of installing a door camera.

I was looking at the prices of DIY perimeter fences. I don't think Jimi has anything around his property, though I could be wrong. Some of the fencing looks pretty affordable, but I know I couldn't do it on my own. You have to dig post holes and so forth.
