So I recently purchased a new juice 75/25 ratio. I put a new coil in to get the full flavor out of it.. Tasted the juice everything seemed to be fine.. After a few hours it started to taste like cotton for some reason..

So last night i decided to try and popped a new one in. Same sh*t happend, no flavor mostly taste like cotton.

Im using the subtank on .5 coils.

What could the reason be?

My guess would be too much PG..I like VG max myself with a extra flavor shot..
Since getting the awesome Crown tank I have vaped 5 straight tanks thru it with the ss/cotton .25 coil... Great flavor and thick clouds too..in fact the more I vape it the better it gets...just sayin ☺

Have you had any problems with it yet
None whatsoever..I picked up another Crown yesterday at my local shop who surprisingly had them in stock..
They do require a good mod that handle the higher wattages that makes these tanks come alive..both of these have the .25 ss stainless coils installed and I discovered they like 75-80w..coils are rated up to 120w, but even at 90w the drip tip gets a little hot...least for me anyway..It fills from the top and airflow is the best I've ever tried on a subtank..
Build quality is superb ..I'm really liking the Crown Subtank... seen here on my two IPV4's

ok
kanger stock coils have a tiny issues. the cotton is packed too tight to wick heavy vg juice
BUT
that is fixable and takes about 5 seconds Ive been paing max vg juice on kanger stock coils for months

You probably have a horizontal coil.

look down the hole
if you can see the coil running across it then its horizontal

the vertical coils will have the coil going so you can see through the center of the coil form the hole .

Either coil solution is about the same.
Get a pin.
push it into the cotton through both juice holes and move the wick around just a little

some people will push the pin all the way through if its a horizontal coil. I never did .

This loosens teh wicking up and lets it wick MUCH better

I do this when ever i change coils
and then sometimes after about 2 weeks of use

Fresh coils can taste like cotton for a bit, that's just my own experience with cotton, and I've read the same from others. I've also read about people poking holes in the cotton to allow the juice to absorb better. Don't know if this would help you at all or not, but thought I'd offer the info.

Well hell Huck, when someone quotes me with a question in a thread I try my best to reply with a satisfying answer... Just me I guess, lol

How should i work the pin? Should i just poke holes?

push it in wiggle it around SLIGHTLY your trying to spread out the cotton so juice can flow through it better
