self explanatory really

these guys seem to have decent prices
-http://www.ecigexpress.com/

I want to know about mixing ratios, for instance whats the exact scale on which nicotine is measured for instance what would 6 mg equate to in a say 500ml bottle. This is just so I have a scale for measurement, I cant seem to find any reference material that's too handy for true beginners.

My interest in DIY is born from wanting to know the level of care put into the production of what juice I vape, I am a cheap-o in that my experience thus far has been on the cheapest side of E-juice, I'd rather just put the effort forth and avoid toilet bowl juice

I plan on making a 100-150 dollar investment into mixing necessities a respirator and appropriate PPE, purely in the hopes of safety.
if anyone has any recommendations on equipment they use that's on the cheap and reliable side it would be much appreciated.

Needless to say I've been a vaper for about 2 years now, so I'd say that I have a pretty fair amount of knowledge into what is to be expected on the safety side of things. I'm only reaching out in the hopes that other DIY people may be able to lend a helping hand in the pursuit of wonderful, safely home-brewed juice.

http://www.ecigexpress.com/ is a good vendor and has good sales, check there facebook page for deals. I really like http://www.bullcityvapor.com/ which is also popular around here for good reason.

For nicotine http://www.nudenicotine.com/ and http://www.vaperstek.org/premium-nicotine/ is generally considered the best.

You will need a calculator to figure mixing percentages, I prefer this one: https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/threads/new-calculator-to-try.480587/ it helps me keep track of how much I use and calculates a cost for each mix I make.

I started out using syringes but mixing by weight is so much easier, here is a good guide to get you started: http://www.vapingunderground.com/threads/guide-to-mixing-by-weight.22891/

This is a good thread to help you get started: http://vapingunderground.com/threads/more-diy-helpful-links.84935/

I just started a couple of months ago and all the info I gathered came from here and all the helpful people around here. You don't have to start off spending over $100, I started with about $40 to see if I would like DIY. Instead of ordering your VG, PG and Nic separately you can just order a premixed bottle to start you off with the mix you general vape, say a 60VG/40PG 6mg nic base and add the flavors from a recipe you think you would like to it.

There is a ton of info on here, you came to the right place.

Wizard labs is one of the few vendors I have not dealt with yet. I had read that there flavors come in bottle without droppers so you would need to use a pipette or syringe to use. Since I mix by weight having a dropper bottle is such a time saver, I guess that is probably why I have not used wizard yet. I did just see they have Lorann clear watermelon though, don't know of another vendor that carries that so might have to place an order. Does wizard labs offer any discount codes?

I never had discount code from them they do send freebees. Personally I think they have the best pg, vg. and nic going. They make there stuff for Johnson & Johnson, the nic comes in very dark brown bottles. they do have pipettes, needles and all measuring devices. Also they pack everything very well so you don't have to worry about contamination or leakage.

I don't think people understand how important that is especially after hearing some of them talk on here.

There prices are really good at wizard labs, I just placed my first order with them, of course I got so close to the Free Shipping mark of $65 that I had to order up some more. The shipping was about $9 if I didn't so what the hey. They always get me with the free shipping, they know a sucker when he logs in.....haha

Nude Nicotine is have a 20% off sale but it expires in 24 hours, the code is: WeWearWhiteAfterLaborDay20 of course I ordered another bottle of nic, impressed with what I already got from them. I can't tell my no nic mixes from the 3mg nude nic mixes so that about as clean as you can ask for and no throat hit.

DIY is a slippery slope of spending money but in the long run it comes out way cheaper and a lot more fun. I just vaped a store bought ejuice I use to like but it is not as good as what I can make now. Love this hobby!
