Do you know how many puffs you take a day?

Hi everyone. Its a lovely day here in the UK near London, autumn now but feels like a mild summers day :).

I never ever thought about how much I vaped a day before, I just knew it was around 15 Ml's of juice I get through.

Since I got devices with puff counters (The xcube 2 and Swowell DPV 50) I found that I average around 800 puffs a day. I understand vaping is completely different to smoking, and where it is enjoyable probably why it is so many puffs.

These are also not all 5 second pulls, some are 3 seconds for example.

I just wanted to know if anyone else here has noticed how many puffs a day they use since getting a device that counts them for you? I like the Xcube 2, as you set the time and it resets at midnight for a new day, the Smowell puff counter just goes up and up so far, I guess untill 10,000 then resets.

But, to get around that I simply jot down the puffs on that device before I go to bed, to keep an idea of puffs per day.

It's not because of a health worry, or a concern of vaping too much, just a bit of research I was conducting on myself really.

So, if anyone else would like to post how many puffs they get through in a day, it would be nice for my personal research. If you want too, include how much juice you get through in a day too.

(If I am using a dripper the number is nowhere near this by the way, this is only applicable to when I am using a tank, which I do most of the time as I find mine to be flavoursome, and not eat up battery as fast as a high powered dripper. When I want some fun though, I use a dual coil dripper with some higher watts).

Thanks everyone, Conan.

There's a lot of variables in a "puffs" that make the puff counter useless and waste of space for me. The amount of time you take a puff, power/temperature, topper even between tanks alone, but definitely between rdas and tanks. I think that space could be used for something useful or enlarging the screen text for other things. Love they way the Evic VT does it, it'd hidden and not forced on you like other devices. No way am I swapping my battery bar for a puff counter ;). Just my two cents

That is a very valid point. I like the way my smowell does it, its hidden in the menu. Also accidental presses count as a puff and so on, so I guess its pretty useless, apart from letting you know how many times it has been fired lol.

I got my eVic Mini eight days ago and 1200 puffs, or an average of 150 a day. At work, driving a Bus for 8-10 hours a day with a vape break for 5 mins every hour or sometimes 2 hours between breaks.

Ahh, does this satisfy you? I just find I enjoy the flavours so much, I tend to chain vape unless TC dripping. If I am using a tank I tend to chain vape as I enjoy the flavours so much. I am trying to use a bit less though, as I can drain a dual battery device in a day pretty easily, whereas when I begun it would last me 2 days with dual batteries.

Single battery devices if I am chain vaping last around 4 hours, thats usually long enough as I don't go out for long periods, but if I know I will be out longer I take a dual battery device.

I also have an eVic Mini, and I'd estimate about 500 a day.

Yes satisfied. I don't vape heavy while at work so I use 9 or 12 mg nicotine...at home or in the car I vape 6mg nicotine since I can take more puffs more often.
At work I use the eGo One Mega with NI200 coil. I don't drip often but I use my LEMO2 / kanthal build a lot with the at home setup.

Im a lightweight. No puff counter, so I'd guess maybe 100 per day. Around 3 mls of juice....

Mine varies from 550 to 750 a day. It actually depends on the hours I work that day. Longer hours = more puffs.

Ahh, I am currently not working due to what happened last year, but I am allowed to do a course in IT and network diagnostics with CISCO, its one of the highest in the country, so next year I can't wait to have a good job :).

Probably explains why I can and do vape more. Plus I use 3MG of nicotine, for flavour purposes. I did use zero nic, but after tasting it with nicotine, it was a whole different boat. But, I still see it as not smoking, nicotine is not a carcinogen, so I'm not bothered. I also don't seem to get any withdrawal if I do not vape, so I strongly think nicotine alone is not that addictive, its even in foods we eat, its the other chemicals in ciggarettes that make it highly addictive.

But after giving up drugs and alcohol, and nearly dying, giving up smoking was pretty easy for me lol. The fiancee is having a cigarette still every other day or so, but its an improvement from 5 a day (light smoker). I might up her Nicotine for her as if she is still craving a cigarette, maybe the 5MG is not enough for her in the subtank. Maybe 9MG should try?

Just let her do it her way. I dual used for a few weeks as well.
Whether it's just a few a day or one every other day, give her time. Every vape is one less cigarette. ;)
She'll get there.

I'd say between 650 to 850 depending on how busy I am at work :)

I'm averaging somewhere around 450-475 per device that can register puffs, so I assume the same number for those that don't. Total estimated around 1400 puffs, assuming approximate 10% drop for misfires and other non-puff events, I'm comfortable saying approximately 1260 or so actual puffs per day.

I would find this info a LOT more useful though, if there were some software to automatically download the data from my mods so that I could create charts and graphs and do some analysis of the trends like you can with the old eVic software. If Joyetech adds the new eVic-VTC Mini into the software and gives me that ability, then I will use it a LOT more, and likely purchase a few more mods to capture accurate data. :)

If you couldn't tell, sometimes I'm a bit of a geek. To me, without the software to track it, it really is more of a novelty that I won't really do much with.
