The price seems to good to be true for all that it alleges that it can do. I dont need another paperweight so I was hoping someone who has used this and its features to pop in and state their experiences. I have many times read great things about equipment only to find out it was nothing short of a pc of shit. The app to control the mod does seem cool and useful but if it wont connect most times then again, more shit I dont need. With the upcoming SS TC devices, I thought I may give this a look because the Crown is fucking awesome and with TC on the SS coils it could be epic.... But if this X Cube is a good device then I dont mind throwing some $$ at it but if not I may have to look at the DNA200 for all of its features and ability to take all future upgrades. Those batteries are a bit mind numbing at the moment. Need more coffee first

no i dont own one, im basing what i said off you tube reviews and other people on VU. But what I said is factual.

Now will it turn out to be a paper weight like VD is worried...Thats what Im also waiting on to find out,
also waiting to see if the rice dried out my D2
also waiting for my crown to get here thursday so I can see what everyone is going on about with it.

All I was saying is that he asked someone with actual first hand knowledge of it. He didn't ask what anyone learned from a myriad of YouTube reviews

I agree 100% Mr Devil. Seems like this mod is trying to do to much. Smoks track record on TC mods isn't the best imo. That fact coupled with me reading people seem to be struggling getting the app to work. It just sounds like a little bit too much of a PITA. I would get one in a NY minute if they can get it all sorted. The treebox mod looks great too. It's the same situation though for me. Until Smok demonstrates they can do TC without it being a giant PITA, I'll be skeptical.

Cheers,
Steve

Yes my point exactly. It seems to good to be true at that price point but I am kinda thinking about being a lab rat for it just out of curiosity. At the worst case, then I can provide all of you curious members if it actually is a pc of shit or if it is vape worthy. From what I have gathered by reading on it the app seems to have the most problems using the Android platform. So if my stupid galaxy wont run then maybe my ipad might. Seems like apple users are having success with the app which makes no sense at all. I am going to keep reading and thinking about it for awhile. Now if Sig actually had the TI and SS capability already, then I wouldnt be asking lolololol

I have been looking at this Smok x cube II mod and it does seem intriguing. I have read many reports where the app will not connect to the mod. Can you state how your experience has been with this mod and the app interface. I am most interested because it will sense on control SS coils which of course is additional fees but it is what it is I guess
I've had zero issues with the Bluetooth connection. I did initially have an issue with network anomalies error trying to buy the tc options. I'm assuming server on smoks side. It has been fixed though. Great mod! The app is more of a novelty after you purchase SS and Ti.

I have one, my only real con is not really thinking the default coefficient values are accurate. They are definitely close but need some fine tuning. I love this thing. I paid like $56 shipped and ti/SS unlock. Best tc mod I've used. I'm sure the DNA200 is better but not without its own flaws and a 250% higher price tag

Thank you Curly for your input. That makes me feel a bit better on this. Are you using Android or Apple to interface with the App. One last question. You stated that the temp comp is not exactly accurate. can you give any details on what temp you set the device to vs what you normally would if the coefficient were correct. Thanks again

You change the coefficient for the wire for example I think I have ti figured out. 0.00384,think default I'd 0.00300 Run at same temp. You don't adjust the temp you adjust the coefficient, which is done when selecting temperature mode on device. I have android phones.

This is what makes this device a small step ahead of others imho

@CurlyxCracker does each TC mode (Ni Ti SS) have a limited range to adjust the coefficient?
For example can you take Ti mode and reset the coeffiecient so SS would work.

I ask this not beauase I would want to do that exactly, but if another wire becomes all the rage, I am wondering if the xcube is versatile enough to simple enter one TC mode and adjust the coeffiecient to work with that wire- given the tCR of the new wire would be any where close to those of the current wires

From what I saw one the video that I watched and I know I am not going to be able to explain this correctly but here goes: Once you pay for the TC upgraded for said wire type (in this case SS), that mode is then unlocked on the mod. However to fine tune the vape you go into the coefficient setting to fine tune the mod. But it appears to have a range that you cant go above or below. Most likely because Smok feels that the range they give you is correct for the wire type.

hoenstly I dont know alot about the whole TCR thing, except that different wires use different TCR. But one would think that the next evolution would be
TCR mode. set your TCR and have memory slots for different TCR settings instead of Ni mode Ti mode SS mode etc or is my understanding of TCR completely wrong

Each wire type has a broad range of its own ex. Ti is 0.00150-0.00550 I believe that's the high number. Just checked and reset it. And ni200 is higher. If another wire comes along before the x cube III I'm sure we'll get an update. But honestly. SS is the new wire to use, still fairly newish to common vaper.

yea the single is crappy but I have my custom 352j box mod still on order. I may just ask them to use the 350J V2 board in it. has dual batteries and 150W 75J so it should be epic if its possible

not sure either what the SXI-Q is but possibly something similar to what the DNA 200 has where you can further customize the performance.

According to Cloudmaker Yihi has no immediate plans for releasing V2 to third party vendors yet. I'm sure they have some inventory to get through first.

Ahhh this could be true as well. Something I had not thought of. Gonna have to inquire about this further...

I have had the ijoy asolo for a couple weeks now. At first you have to fiddle around with it for a while, but I freaking love it and it's super small, litterally just a little bigger than 2 18650s

I had damn neer a meltdown at the announcement and swapped my cloudmaker order to the dna200.... when they do a v2 I still won't get it, this every 8month shut is stupid.
Evolve has to save themself so they get a pass this time, Yihi just needed to add a tcr curve but opted for a rehash, they can bite me. Lol

I agree. I may change my custom order to dna200 if there isn't an update to the 350j. I dont get the new battery deal with them. Can you explain ? How do you charge them.

Well I hope I don't end up kicking myself. I broke down and ordered the Hotcig DNA200 mod from Gearbest. They have it on sale for $112.99 shipped. I spent the day researching it and from what I read, the people that have it seem to like it. I don't think I could build one any cheaper so I figured I'd roll the dice. Wish me luck :D.

Cheers,
Steve

Hopefully by the end of October. I'm just hoping I get it before the DNA400 comes out lmao.

PS I've always had a rule, keep the mods under $100. I had to get creative with this one and tell myself the mods $99.99 + $13.00 shipping :p:D:). It's the little things in life;)

It's a 3S Lipo 900mah, 11.1V. It would be like a 2700mah 18650 mod. From what I read, bigger packs are in the works. The battery snaps on sort of like an Interceptor

Cheers,
Steve

Edit I don't if I explained it good. The chip, display, buttons are in one section. The battery is in a separate section. You can either charge it connected to the mod or disconnected with the included balanced charger. The battery section snaps on and off.

Yes it uses Escribe through the PC. It's my first DNA200 mod and I'm getting fired up. From what I understand you can add any TCR that you see fit. Now it's time to get some SS :) . I guess you can basically set anything your little heart desires. If you like to tinker, this is the chip to have.

Cheers,
Steve

Edi I like to tinker so I knew it was only a matter of time!

Dude, Yihi will catch up. Everyone will have software. Everyone will either have SS or user set TCR. But RIGHT NOW, Evolv is the only one and everyone else is playing catch up. That's the conclusion I came to. I'm not a fan boy. There are some things I would like different. But today, that's it.... Or wait for everyone else to catch up.

I hear ya man. I've never been a fan of evolve. My issue is that my custom mod us about to go into production and I was all set to go 350j but since I placed my order I have discovered ss vaping and love it. So instead of having two high end mods one would be the preferred situation. If I can't get the 350j upgraded then the DNA looks to be a good solution. Guess I need to sleep on it
