Just wondering if anyone has some tips for those of us who need a high nicotine fix throughout the day. I currently vape with a sigeli zmax v5 with 24mg juice in a Kanger pro3 tank.

I go through kanger coils really fast - even with a vodka soak the quality of the vape deteriorates within a day or two of vaping.

I know I should start building my own coils but in the meantime I just wonder if there some sort of rebuildable gear out there that will make all the difference?

I'm all about throat hit as opposed to clouds so I usually vape with a 60-80% pg to vg ratio.

I just love nicotine.

Lots of gear.....like lots but all of it the coils are always going to need replaced and cost money, your best bet is rebuilding them, jump in and save mounds of loot:)

Lots of videos on you tube and you can always ask here plenty of peeps to help you out.

If you want efficient the best way to go is sub ohm. If you want cost effective and efficient the best way is to get sub ohm tank with a re-buildable deck or a dedicated RTA. I haven't bought coils for several months and have spent a whopping $12 for 24 gauge and 28 gauge wire for my coils. If you decide to go this route you will probably want to lower your nicotine to around 6mg.

From 24mg, I disagree with going down to 6mg, even with a Sub Ohm tank. More likely 8-12mg.

Have to agree with you on this one. I was able to step down to 12mg only after I started sub ohm. I stayed there for several weeks before I even tried reducing it.

I still carry a bottle of 8mg, even though I'm currently vaping @ 3mg. Just for those days I need a little extra.

I also carry 0mg, for days I've had too much lol

I'd say when switching to Sub Ohm, as a rule of thumb, use 1/2 of the nicotine you're used to.

The coils will last a lot longer in the subohm tanks out now. I remember the old protanks and yeah, I would go through coils in a day or two since I mainly vape custardy mixes.

But the ultimate in low cost vaping is definitely building your own coils.

Combined with DIY, you can trim your cost substantially. My juice of choice sells for $22 a bottle. Which may only last 2 days.

I make the same juice, for less than a buck.

But I certainly agree, coils are a huge cost as well. And building your own can lead to big savings.

So I was doing vuse for like 6 months. Kept telling myself I was going to quit... That's actually 48mg. But it didn't produce much. But jumped into vaping. Started with ego one and moved to subtank mini.

I was all about the nic. Could not care less about clouds. I was at 12, tried to go to 18. I just wanted nic, not burn through juice. I finally found out what too much nic is. 18 in a sub tank mini way too much. I wanted to stay MTL. But the sub ranks just make you give that up.

I just got a Crown tank and D2. HOLY CRAP! Way more vapor. Way more flavor. I tried to go back to 12, but I should have started with 3 on the crown. After I igot over the newness, I'm at 6 and doing about 6ml a day.

The point to all that... I just wanted nic. High concentration, low juice use, no clouds, and now that is where I'm at. The sub tank mini was the first step. The Crown is so darn good, I just don't care. The flavor is awesome, and I can get as much as I want. I'm not saying that's what you should do, I'm just saying maybe give it a try. I also found with more flavor and vapor, high nic got in the way of that. Pretty harsh. I used PG cause of burnt hits, but no such thing as that on a good tank. The VG goes much nicer.

And if that isn't enough, with stainless steel coils... I'm on the same one I put in a month ago when I got it. 2 though, solid 2 weeks on first. They still look and taste as good as when I put it in. There's a lot of really good stuff out there now. Don't think sub ohm is all about clouds. It's a lot more than that.

14 gauge needle on a 10cc syringe filled with juice? JK.
Lol.

For some reason this makes me think of the OD scene from Pulp Fiction. You know the one.

Thanks for this, Powerman.

I'll have to look up a few things now - (what is vuse and MTL?)

Good luck on your quest for nic. I rebuild pro 3 coils [the old style] for my wife takes just a few minutes each very easy to do been doing it for 1.5 yrs. Shawn from lightning vapes posted a video in the coils section on rebuilding them, costs pennies to make and she can always carry 1 or 2 in her purse for a quick change. For her it is a convenient way to go.

I went from 18 down to 3 before even switching to anything rebuildable, and found I got a better nic hit at 3 because I was able to inhale more vapor. The nic hit was much more consistent for me after switching to 3. And I went directly from 18 to 3.
