When making DIY e-Juice, what flavors do you use the most?
What do you feel is the most important flavors that everyone needs to have?

For starters, all FA creams, custard, marshmallow, meringue, vanilla, lemon. Personally, I can't live without, FA coconut, cookie, marzipan(just to name a very few). Flavor is a very personal taste and will take some trial and error to find yours. I feel once you find the base flavors you like and learn to mix them at the proper ratios, the rest of the "up front & back note" flavors are personal preference.

The best thing you can do is to take it SLOW. Go through the recipe section and find some recipes that sound good to you and pay attention to the comments. Those most popular recipes (HIC's, wllmc's, Jason's) will be your best option for having success right away. Order the exact flavors called for in those recipes. The best way to guarantee failure and frustration is to try a recipe but not to have the right ingredients. The other advantage to using established recipes is that you will learn how these flavors are intended to work together which will allow you to have a good knowledge base for when you feel comfortable enough to experiment with your own mixes in the future.

I agree with Squonk's list above. If you want to do some experimenting, I would suggest going to purevapes.com and ordering as much of the FA line in the 3ml sample sizes as you can. It's a good way to try things first before order large quantities of stuff that you may never use and end up throwing most of it away (like I did with most of the TFA line when I first started lol). Good luck!

Both great answers above and that advice is what helped me ease into DIY and now love it. DIY is very tricky but with all the advice on here and patience it can pay off BIG TIME and be very fun.

I love FA flavors but cannot live on them alone as now that I am learning more I am finding that a lot of my favorite juices from the West Coast based company's use either Capella or TFA. I just cloned one of my all time favorite juices last night from Perfect Cloudz called Whip it. It is a crazy simple recipe with 10% TFA Strawberry (not the ripe version) and 10% TFA Whipped Cream. Another favorite is Suicide Bunny's Mother's Milk, I haven't cloned it exactly yet but am certain it uses all Capella's flavors.

I started with the smallest size bottles I could get at first and as I went along ordered larger bottles of flavors I used a lot. I am a big strawberry fan so have ordered 4oz bottles or Cap sweet strawberry and TFA Ripe Strawberry as I went through the small bottles pretty quick. I have also ordered 4oz bottles of Cap Vanilla Custard V2 and Cake Batter as well as TFA Sweet Cream and Bavarian Cream, both DX versions as I found these were all making there way into a lot of recipes I really liked.

With FA I have ordered a second Cookie, Apple Pie and Fresh Cream but only in 30ml bottles as they are very concentrated so a little goes a long way. I have also ordered more Inawera Biscuit and will order more Cocopilada but these will be in smaller 30ml bottles as well as they are very concentrated too.

I could never live with making juice from only 1 flavor mfg, all of them have some flavors that hit the mark were other's don't. Flavor West has Yellow Cake, Dulce de Leche and Tres Leches which I have really enjoyed and will be ordering more later. Lorann's has a great jolly rancher style watermelon and Banana Cream, just have to make sure and order the colorless versions, not the food color ones.

I still have a lot to learn being only 2 1/2 months into this hobby but love it and don't miss paying the inflated juice prices anymore.

For starters, are you concerned about vaping flavoring with the "baddies"?

There are a couple threads here that discuss this topic in depth, can't find them ATM tho.

FW Butter Pecan & FW Hazelnut can be mixed as singles and are quite good IMO.

TFA/FW Butterscotch, INW Caramel or TFA Caramel Original, FW DDL, FW Cinnamon Roll.

TFA Blueberry Wild/FW Blueberry, FE Blackberry, TFA Orange Cream/CAP Orange Creamsicle, CAP Peaches & Cream.

FA Lemon Sicily, Pomegranate, Blackcurrant, Cookie, Jamaican Rum, Coconut, Brandy, Chocolate, Cocoa.

TFA Brown Sugar, TFA Vanilla Swirl, CAP/TFA Sweet Cream, CAP Bavarian Cream & Vanilla Bean Ice Cream(and/or TFA).

CAP Vanilla Custard v1, TFA Cheesecake Graham, CAP NY Cheesecake v1, CAP Sugar Cookie v1.

Hangsen Cream is also one of the best IMO.

Don't forget the Marshmallow & Whipped Cream, TFA Toasted Marshmallow too.

The list becomes endless real fast:D.
