question about eleaf istick 50w with sense herakles

Hi everyone,

I have a eleaf istick 50W with sense herakles. The resistance of the coil is 0.6, 50W to 75W. I am vaping at 25W to 30W. When I am vaping, the smoke hurts my throat. Even I turn it up to 50W, it still hurts when I breathe in. The eleaf istick shows the resistance at 0.7 with my sense herakles on. I have two eleaf istick 50W and both shows resistance at 0.7. No matter what voltage i use, the resistance is always at 0.7. Is this the reason costing the smoke to hurt when I breathe in? Can I fix this?

I also have tried the coil with resistance of 0.2, 30W to 75W. Vaping at 25W to 30W. Same result. it just hurts when I breathe in, and I change multiple coils already.

Please help me!! thank u!!!

What kind of juice are you vaping (nicotine, PG/VG level)?

Nicotine is at 6mg, VG level is at 50%. PG is at standard. all my juices are at most standard measurement with nicotine level at 6mg. No extra sweetener or anything.

Since you're using pre made factory coils and vaping under the recommended wattage; my first suspicion is that you didn't prime the coils before use and are experiencing dry hits. Did you prime them?

The resistance of your coil will not change as you adjust your wattage/voltage. It's constant, so you're good there.

Ditto on the above post!

If the coils were properly primed, what tank were you using before the Herakles? It may also be that these low ohm coils are too hot for you if you're not used to subohm vaping. Also, PG is pretty unpleasant with subohm vaping (in my opinion at least). It gives a much harsher vape than juice with higher VG.

Ditto. I'd try a 30PG/70VG juice and see how that works.

Thanks for everyone's help, much appreciated!!

I am new to vaping, so i dont kno what "prime" means. What i do with the new coil is that i will put some juice on it, then let it soaks in the tank with juice for at least 10 minutes. Everytime when i refill, i will let it soak in the juice for 5 minutes before i start vaping.

I dont even know what is subohm vaping hahahahaa!! Sorry for being a noob.

I was using Eleaf GS Air. I just purchase another tank, it is Uwell Crown. It will arrive in 3 days.

However, now it seems like is juices' problem. Sadly, i dont live in the states right now. Hong Kong does not allow store to sell juice with nicotine in it. I can only ask my friends to ship the juice to me. My friends just ship me 6 bottles, so I will order more juice with the new VG/PG later. Meanwhile, i will go back to Eleaf GS Air and hope the Uwell Crown will do magic.

Thanks for all the helps, much much appropriate and best wish to yall!!!
