Not Firing Correctly

Hello, Im new to this forum and just had a few couple questions to ask about my mod..

My name is Ryonin by the way haha,

So about 3 or 4 months ago i bought a Sentinel M16 Mechanical Mod from my friend and at the time i bought it, it didn't work at all..

Keep in mind this is the first tape i have ever purchased and i knew nothing about them at the time..

I took it to a local smoke shop and they rebuilt my coils and wicked it for me and i ended up buying a battery charger and the whole thing worked again....

But..
Since day one it hasn't fired very strong from a fully charged 18650 Battery.. It always takes about 3 or 4 seconds to fire or at least start producing vapor and once it does i have to hit it consistently about 15 times to get a decent cloud out of it.

I took the whole thing apart and cleaned every single part of the mod, multiple times and i still can't seem to find out why it won't fire hard..

The battery is pretty damn old and I'm in the process of getting a new one but i wanted some advice on what i should do.

Some of my friends have bought new mech mods over the past few months and they fire incredibly and way more than what mine should be performing too..

Thanks and let me know your suggestions.

What atty is sitting on top of it, what battery other than 18650 are you using, what are ohm readings, what cleaning regime have you used.... all valid questions just not giving a shit enough to separate them all out.

No clue on the Ohm readings to be honest I've never tested them.. probably around 0.5 or 0.6

The atomizer came with the mod and it says sentinel on it so I'm not to sure what came with it.

and I'm not using any other battery other than the 18650 that i got with the mod itself.

and cleaning I've just used soap i guess and water.

Again I'm very new to vaping haha

Thanks for helping

0.5 or higher will take a while to fire and not fire very warm on a mechanical mod that only puts out whatever the battery has to give.

You 100% have to have an ohms checker if you are using a mech mod. Get one.

Before you build to the correct 0.4ohms (small flavor atty) to 0.2 ohms (cloud chucker atty) for a nice warm thick cloud that doesn't take a minute to get going you will want a quality battery that can handle a low resistance build. Get some samsung 25r's from imrbatteries or liion wholesale batteries, both good prices and are known not to sell fakes.

For cleaning you need to disassemble the button, polish the black buildup off for a good connection. That needs to be done often... like every week or so to keep it in tip top shape.
Or spend $50 on a temp control mod and be done with all that mech mod maintenance shit and build whatever resistance coil you want and adjust the mods output to match ;)

please tell me you have at least rewicked and recoiled it at least once in the last 6 months.

If not the gunked up fucked up coils could be part of the issue.
For batteries get a a set of vtc4s or lgs and call it good and safer than the unknowns before you get a face full of darwin.
