Hi. my mate at work has the SMOK with the tfv4 tank. he managed to vent his battery's, which melted the battery sled, which melted the circuit board. totally fucked, no power, nothing.

shop replaced this without issues and said they supplied the wrong batteries for it.

Anyone want to guess the batteries that they supplied???

anyone else had this happen?

cheers

Dave

Im guessing efest :) They definitely couldn't handle the current and were not VTC 4's :) I don't risk it when it comes to safety and I've know how the ohms law worked since I was 5

Oh Yes, Efest all the way. hope someone can let me know why this happened, as it is a regulated MOD, would the MOD itself not have safety features? im still new and thought the regulation on the device prevented venting or danger?

clearly im wrong but WHY?

its my understanding the mod will shut off power if you try to exceed its own limits, not the limits of the batteries. im pretty sure the mod can only detect the batterys power level but not any other parameters.

Yes you still need to know the ohms law and how many amps your batteries can safely deliver. Don't push them or they will go mad on you!
