Best Batteries for this build

Hey Guys,

Just want to ask what build should I use for this set-up: SMPL Stainless Mod 1:1, Firing pin is made of brass(if that even matter), using AWT batteries Red 40A 3000mAh 3.7V and Yellow with 40A 2600mAh 3.7V

I'm really looking to get as much hit and vapor as I possibly can while keeping it at the safest. I tried putting in dual 4 loops 2.5mm 22 gauge kanthal and it hits up really fast, as well as the firing pin. So took it out and stick in dual 3mm 7 loops .60 and still getting a grasp on how it vapes.

I hope some battery expert can answer me here :D

Thanks,

Dual 3mm 22AWG 7 wrap will ohm out at 0.2 ohms, not 0.6.

Get some batteries you can trust, that don't have fictitious amp ratings printed on them if you want better safety.

LG HB6 are true 30A, but only 1500mAh. If safety is top priority, get those. Next highest amp rating would be LG HD2 at 25A 2000mAh. I'd be happy using Samsung 25R at 0.2ohms, though that low there's not a great deal of extra Vape time to be had over HD2. VTC4 would be fine from a reputable source such as liionwholesale.com. All those LG batteries can be had from fasttech, extremely cheaply and they're genuine cells. For convenience and speed hit Jon up at the mentioned website.

Oh well, .60 I'm talking about the 22AWG in mm. I'm used to using mm in wires than AWG. Thanks man.. What about .50/24AWG wire 5 loops in 2.5mm guide? What do you think will the ohms be? I already have the batteries I mentioned above, so I'm not sure if it's okay to use those.

The AWT batteries, both of them, can be assumed to be 20A batteries I believe, maybe closer to 15A for the 3000mAh. I haven't tested them but I've seen testing and curves online.

I'm not sure I understand how your ohms work out here so I won't answer the part of whether 20A is good enough.

You can utilize http://www.steam-engine.org/coil.asp, in order to get the information. However, it's more of a guideline. Therefore, the build should be checked with an Ohm meter.

Always check your builds on a meter, especially if yer firing it on a single cell hybrid mech mod. I would make that my first priority. Steam Engine is lovely, but it won't tell you if yer build is dicey or has a short somewhere. USA Ohms makes a great, reliable meter. I'd look into it :p
