This popped up in another thread and I think I'm going to pre order what do the masses think? It's a DNA200 mod with 3 18650 batteries instead of LiPo. I will just post a link and you can read lol.

I've been waiting for this one here for a while.
The only reason I haven't sprung on the preorder is my impatience. When I pay for something I want it on a truck the next day.

I will stand by for vapor DNA to get it, they have it in the coming soon tab but not sure if they will have it before other joints. But I am in no rush for it, I have been eyeballing the DNA 200 for a while and this one with the 3 batteries instead of the lipo looks great

I hate that you can't adjust settings like the tcr and ramp up without connecting to escribe so my dna200 devices have pretty much become at home mods

Why not just set different TCR's and ramp-up times in the 8 different memory slots. I pretty much use the same TCR and ramp-up time. I just adjust power and temperature depending on juice.

Edit I like the mod too, but I would like it better if it was closer to $150 and I don't do preorders. Seems like it's a crap shoot (preordering). I'd rather wait until it's in stock, half the time you get it just as quick or quicker vs preordering.

I do have different profiles, but I would like more. I have one for wattage mode, then one each for Ni200, Stainless Steel Temp and Titanium so thats 4 of them right there. There have been plenty of times where I was out on the road and decided that I wanted a different ramp up and can't. I primarily vape with Titanium or SS temp and have found that over time, you need to adjust the settings, especially the TCR with Stainless Steel. Love vaping with stainless steel, but because the tcr is so small, it seems to be very finicky. I'll set the TCR curve correctly and it will work for a while, but then later in the day it reaches Temperature limit too quickly. To top it off, I have a mac computer, so when I want to go into escribe, I have to bring up the virtual machine.

I dont do preorders either. Over the course of 5 years, I've seen too many promises on preorders and then the item isn't released or its delayed. Sometimes these companies even use the preorder money to try and develop the device. Perfect example is the whiteout. People preordered back in June & July and they are still waiting, probably another month at least. Luckily, I purchase a lot for originvape and have done some reviews for them so they offered to hold one for me without pre-ordering.

I spent the first few days with the board tweaking and playing with settings send haven't had to change anything in escribe other than screens since. The only exception was a new tank that needed a slightly harder punch to make me happy.
But, I'm not sure what ss you're using, I hsvent had to touch a ss build other than to rewick it occasionally.
Have you tried thru UD316l? That stuff has me almost completely off of Kanthal A1

My sxmini and xcube just ask for a value (.00095).

You can do that in escribe too. Instead of adding a curve, you enter a number. Forgot what the menu button is called and I'm not in front of a computer, but it's all the way to the right under the graph. When you click on it you have an option to reduce graph points or enter a tcr value

I just put this setting in my HCIGAR VT200, only been using for an hour or so but so far so good, more consistent vape, thanks for the tip!
