I'm new to vaping and at the moment I'm using a Ego-CE4 pen but I'm not getting much out of it.

Could anyone recommend me something which is better than what I'm using but not too technical for a beginner.

Thank you.

Check out the Kanger Subox Mini kit.
It's very easy and very satisfying compared to ego stuff.

Also, here's a eVic VTC mini that's an excellent entry to temperature control vaping. It's just as easy as the Kanger but temp control helps prevent dry hits, which is a nice thing not to have to worry about.

I have no involvement with the maker of the videos, he just does a really nice job.

This is great advice. You can't go wrong with the Subtank Mini Kit. The Cool Fire 4 is a nice mod, has a physical on-off switch, and comes in a nicer shade of purple than the Kanger (according to the pink haired girl I bought it for) but the Cool Fire 4 has a non replaceable battery. The Smok M-65 is probably the best value as far as dollar per watt, they are dirt cheap if you look around.

Do you live anyplace near a vape shop? If you do, go and see what is there. Don't commit to buying anything, just make some notes, then come back here, and search this site to see what people think of the various devices. Avoid pen style mods in general. I know that new vapers male and female seem to tend toward them, usually because of size, But the Kanger, Cool Fire, and M65 are much shorter than a pen, can sit on a table without falling over, and be vaped while recharging. They also have enough battery power and capacity to power an atomiser that will give you the vapor you need for most of, if not a whole day without recharging.

If I had to buy a starter kit, I'd buy the Kanger Subbox Mini, or the Evic VTC Mini (NOT the kit, but w/ a Kanger Subtank Mini). I own the Evic VTC Mini, 'cause I wanted a light weight device for the road. Although, the battery can be charged in the device, I like to have a spare battery with me, just in case.
As for the battery for either device, http://liionwholesale.com/collectio...lat-top-wholesale-discount?variant=3263844292.

The Kangetech SUBOX Mini has been great for me, and I'm a beginner. You can see my personal review of it here: http://www.reviewgasm.com/gear/edc/vapes-ecigs/kangertech-subox-mini/

Hi Sage,

Question for you, being a beginner. Are you direct lung inhaling with the SubBox mini. I've had several "standard" mouth-lung vapers wanting to upgrade to something besides a Nautilus/Nautilus Mini but they weren't happy with that kit. Using the 1.2 / 1.5 coils which are designed for mouth-lung vaping they couldn't get a vape they were happy with. I love it with the .5, but I'm a "tail-piper" these days.

Thanks!

I'm a direct lung inhaler. Matter of fact, I go into a coughing fit if I do mouth-to-lung inhales. Weird.

I also use the .5 coils.

I use the subox mini myself with no issues, just the box tho not the tank. Sooooo many options and you'll get many more opinions. My personal suggestion for a tank would actually be an Atlantis v1, I recently picked up a clone version and I'm pretty happy with it when I want something that I can do more of a mtl type hit instead of direct lung inhales. Its a softer vape than my other 2 tanks and for someone upgrading it may be a good step in the right direction without breaking the bank, the fast tech clone I got was less than $16. I've never used the subtank but that may be an even better option especially considering u can get the subox kits for a pretty good price. Mine works great and would definitely recommend it.

That's why there's air flow control (for the newbs, also called AFC), which gives you the option of regulating the airflow to your preference. In addition, regarding the Kanger, the 1.2 Ohm replacement head has a more restricted airflow, compared to the 0.5 Ohm.

My first one was an eVic VTC mini, though I did start with a Herakles sub-tank, running a .6ohm coil. That's my run around town, take to work/school device. At home I have a 2cell mod that I drip with... Still trying to wrap my head around that aspect of vaping.
