Kanger Subtank Black Ni200

Hello all,

I recently purchased a crown tank, didn't like it and sold it. I still wanted a new tank to go with my new IPV D2 so I ordered what I know and love, another Subtank; the Subtank Plus Ni200 in black. After ordering I realized the base is 25mm as opposed to the 22mm Subtank mini. I understand that there will be a little overhang on the IPV D2 but will it be able to make a connection to 510 pin?

Yes it works fine! The plus is as you say slightly bigger, but it works beautifully.

Another question, the description says it comes with one nickel coil and one nichrome coil, what's the difference between the two? Also, and I'm pretty sure I already know the answer, can I still use my regular Kanthol OCC coils in the tank?

The nickel is only for temperature control, and the nichrome is used in power mode. Yes, you can use your regular OCC coils!

The questions keep coming! Does Kanger make nichrome replaceable coil heads ? The websites I'm looking at are a little confusing l.

I wasn't aware the OCC coils were nichrome, but if the one in the kit is they probably are now if they're the vertical ones (they used to be horizontal).

I think they're Kanthal.

I pretty sure the .2 coil is Nichrome. I wish I could buy some

I wasn't aware of a 0.2 for the KST family, but then again... I only just heard 3 or 4 days ago that they have or will soon have Stainless factory heads. Could it be that? Or did you specifically hear "nichrome" somewhere?

About the Plus... is this some new TC packaging?
I have an older one that came with the 25mm to 22mm adaptor base "beauty ring".
Don't know why they wouldn't still be including one.

Well then... a TC pack and NiChrome to boot.
I had earlier started to write that I just haven't kept an eye on Kanger for a couple of months, which is why the SS took me by surprise.

Have you got it yet? What about the "beauty ring" spacer?

Beauty ring spacer? Excuse my ignorance but I need to be enlightened. But yes, I've had the tank for a couple weeks now.

You were concerned about the function of the 25mm tank on a standard width mod.
Obviously you know now that's not an issue barring some raised edges or sunken 510.

The concern Kanger had was the aesthetics of the mis-match. I tried to explain up-thread.

Sorry I can barely follow my own thread but thanks for clearing it up. It fits pretty well. There is a bit of over hang but it's so small, the silicone case covers it up nicely.

Ah, so not in the box anymore?

I've never used the tank, but the ring/adaptor get used quite often.
It's how I separate tight RDAs from their top caps for building, rewicking. etc.

Nope, no longer in the box but the spare glass is back.

For anyone interested, Kanger is now selling the .2 nichromes in a 5 pack. They are available at wake and vape for $16 shipped. Not bad for a decent coil.
