Made my first coil

well as it says I have done it (I hope). I originally ordered pre wrapped coils at .5 and had a feeling why not unwind one and do it myself (since they come in 10). so I took apart a normal clicky pen. don't know the diameter but made about 4-5 wraps and its coming in at .4 ohms!! I have yet to try it out yet but from the little fire I did it looks like some good vape coming off. ill be back after I go on my smoke break for update.

coming back from my smoke break with the conclusion. I have once again fallen in love with the berry crunch from dr crimmy. before I made this one I used the pre wrapped and kept getting like a dry toasty vape at about 22-30W. went outside started low at like 13W wide open AFC and I could taste the sweetness again. cranked it up to 32W and OMG I wish I could have stayed outside but duty calls. I did leave a tad bit of space between the wraps and its nice and warm with the sugary sweetness exhale and its AMAZING!!!!!

A decent coil is like a decent pair of speakers. You can have the best amplifiers, tuners, etc, but if your speakers suck then no matter how good the music, it's still gonna sound like crap. Same with coils. You could have the latest and greatest VV/VW/TC/Mech-Hybrid mod and a $75 bottle of awesome juice, but if the coil is sub-par, then so is the flavor.

Just wait until you try your first Clapton...

my buddy has a Clapton and says the flavor is phenomenal. I think once my stuff gets here im going to do a dual coil (maybe twisted). rec 24 or 28 gauge? I have both coming. I want to shot for .3 .4

Steam Engine is a great tool that will give you all the info you need on any particular build.
Dual 24g with 9 wraps around a 2.5mm post would bring you to around 0.35Ω
Dual twisted 28g with 8 wraps would also bring you to the same range.

I used to use 26 gauge but got 24 and built the same build. It was much better. Currently using 2 strands of twisted 24 gauge kanthal in a dual coil build at 95 watts. Great flavor.
