E-Cigarette Maintenance

E-cigarette is not designed to last forever, but we are able to extend the life of it with occasional maintenance.

Battery

Keep the batteries fully charged. The manufacture recommends to charge the batteries full 8 hours before initial use no matter the charger indicator changes or not. On subsequent charges, 3-4 hours are enough. For Joye eGo, as it carries a fast USB charger, 4 hours is enough for initial charges and 2-3 hours for subsequent charges.

Clean the connection parts of the battery and atomizer with a clean paper tissue occasionally.

ALWAYS make sure batteries are dry before placing in a charger.

Always clean your connectors on chargers and batteries mainly for ego style batteries.

If you find corrosion on your connectors that can not be cleaned replace as soon as possible.

Atomizer

When you get your atomizer, you should take the following steps to prepare for a best experience.

a. Blow out your atomizer, your atomizer comes along with "primer liquid" to keep it moist. Simply blow hard from the threaded end until no more liquid comes out.

b. Then, fill your cartridge, use the dropper slowly fill the empty cartridge, DO NOT OVERFILL IT.

c. Drip two drops directly onto the metal coil of the atomizer.

d. Connect with a fully charged battery and a cartridge.

keep the atomizer clean and don't let it dry out. Replace the cartridge when the performance diminishes. Here are steps to completely clean the inside of the atomizers, it is recommended to be done every day or every two days:

a. Blow out the atomizer from the screw end with slightly high pressure air.

b. Drip small amount of regular alcohol into the atomizer, then rinse out with distilled water, shake out well, then blow out with compressed air.

c. Connect the atomizer with a working battery, drip several drops of e-juice into the atomizer, then you may get good vapor.

After all, it is not a real cigarette. Please change your smoking habit a little bit. Do not draw too hard and frequently. Please slowly inhale to give the atomizer time to heat the liquid.

PV Body's

The PV its self has a list of Maintenance and Care Items to Do .

  1. Care And Cleaning of the Connection (510/ego/808/901) the same as you clean the Threads on your Atty you should Clean the Receiving End of the PV to keep the accumulation of over fills /dirt and other such build up
  2. Cleaning the Contacts on your Devices this includes all threading Contact Screws and Posts and any Switch Contacts.
Every 6 weeks or so I take and tear down my mech PV and clean all the Contacts and everything Given I like most have Oil come from my hands over time it builds up.

A word about patina on your mods. It looks cool as hell But Remember that that is Corresion and oxidasation and Creates a lot of impedance for power to flow to your Atty. So Keep your Contacts and Thread Very Clean so you don't have Unnecessary voltage Loss.

RDA/RBA/Genesis Style Atomizers

Now I Know mandy covers some of this but I want to followup as I go a bit farther so I am going to Add one more to her Atomizer section.

D.When Cleaning Remove and Clean the Screws and Post Body's Head's and Thread's as they can accumulate sugars and gunk over time and recreate Unnecessary Resistance and or Voltage drop.

Thank you. Also, for ego style batteries, is it important to raise the wafer that connects the battery to the atomizer, or does it not matter?

This is a PC tank from my Russian 91% clone. It is 3 weeks old. Leaked quite a bit of juice on my desk. I am going to take all my PC tanks & make them smaller. Poly Carbonate just don't play well with juice. It broke almost perfectly flush.0816140345.jpg

Ever Smoke Accessories that Keep Your E-Cigarette Secure -

Portable Charging Case. You can simultaneously store your e-cigarettes safely, carry them around in your pocket or purse, and charge them. This protects your device from being crushed, picking up dirt, and losing its ability to hold a charge.

Power Cig. If you’re going to be vaping continuously in one place, use this device to power your e-cigarette straight from a USB port. That way, you can save your batteries for when you are on-the-go.

Protect your e-cigarettes and supplies by putting them all in a sleek pocket-sized metal carrying cases. Holds your e-cigarette, 2 refill cartridges, and a USB charger

E-cigarette Lanyard. For times when you want your e-cigarette close, but not jammed into your pocket or perilously tucked behind your ear, try out our vapor smoking lanyard. It securely fastens to your device and casually hangs around your neck for easy vaping.

Threads:

Keep them clean, you can lightly lube aluminum tube threads with NOALOX, and/or a good silicon base lubricant (usually won't goop us as fast as NOALOX) for non aluminum NO-OX-ID works well

Drip tips:
occasionally run a q-tip or pipe cleaner thru them...they do get funky if you don't clean em

If you screw the head on too tight it can crush down the center pin, resulting in a non-charging/non firing or worse case a shorted ego battery

Easy fix however

Good call!

Just a quick tip of my own to add to the most excellent ones already posted.

To clean the exterior of my gear, I rinse my hands with water, shake the excess off of my paws, and gently caress the external surfaces and then dry with a paper towel.

The key is barely damp skin as you don't want water drops near the buttons.

Sounds rude and crude but my mods are clean and shiney:D

Help Me Rj, I do that too. First thing I do is wash my hands first. Sometimes I let my Dog lick the Mod Clean. It fell into a plate of Nachos once. She likes cheese. Happy Dog, & a clean Mod. Is it wrong too have a clean Mod?
