Just got my new IPV 3 LI today. Tried to update the software so that I can have TI and 200 watts (only really wanted the TI mode).
So the SXI software installs ok. I take the batteries out, connect the cable and try to update the driver. Then the window appears stating Windows 7 etc... I click that then the window minimizes. Open that up and nothing. Apparently no devices are found.... Tried running as admin etc... Windows 7 machine. Anyone have these issues or better yet a fix....

Just a thumbs up for the IPV 3Li. I've usually got a Mutation RDA (V3 or V4), a Triton, or a Starre Freemax V3 (surprisingly good cheap tank) on it. Battery life is real nice, 200w is nice to have, and the touch button! fun stuff!

Yea this mod is stellar. I went with it not for the 200 watts but more for the TC with TI. Currently vaping SS using TI mode and its very nice in my billows V2. Battery life with the 300 mah LGs are incredible

Finally got one after I've been talking it up for months :D. Glad to hear you are enjoying it. The mod is built like a tank. It just plain out does whatever I ask of it.

Cheers,
Steve

I had and still use the original IPV3. Yes these are built like tanks for sure. I do like the LI much better than the original. The display is a much cleaner approach. The TC appears to be very stable and consistent as well. I am glad I went with this over the sig 150 TC mod. Pondered back and forth for a few days and got a great price on it.....

Ok, I have a question. Have any of you who've done the update noticed that the menu option to turn off the touch sensor is no longer present after the update?

I never used mine before the update. Opened it and did update right away. I do know that by holding the up button and the fire button will turn it on then down n fire to shut it off

I've already updated mine and to turn the touch sensor on, hold the fire button and the up button. To turn it off, hold fire and down. Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Steve

I see the Vaping Devil and I were both typing at the same time. Maybe if I learned to type faster, I wouldn't always have to type this lmao

Thanks, got it! I seem to remember it being with the other options before the upgrade, but my memory isn't great. It's nice to be able to turn it off at times like when driving. I've accidentally fired it a few times just holding it when driving with it on.

I turned mine on initially and found same problem lolol. I turn it one when putting in new coils to get hot spots out. Other than that it's off. Haha. Trying to be safe

I usually have mine off as well. I've fired it more than once just carrying it. The good thing safety wise is. If the display is off, pressing the touch button won't fire the mod, even if touch mode is on. Not sure if that makes sense after reading it but too lazy to retype it :D

Cheers,
Steve

Makes sense to me. Mine did that when I was carrying it from one room to the next. V nice feature that it won't fire if display is off. Didn't know that. :)

One other tip @TheVapingDevil is: I like to use the mod to build my Billow V2 on. First off it's stable. Second, it's very convenient to be able to press the up and down button to get resistance to the thousandth. I check after the installing the 1st coil, then 2nd, and the after screwing the bottom chimney piece on. Very convenient imo to make sure everything is going good throughout the process.

Cheers,
Steve

Couldn't agree more. That's how I did mine yesterday when I built up a fresh build on the billows v2. You can also put the mid in Ti mode and use ss wire and get a nice ss TC Vape. Works lovely imo

How much of a temp offset are you having to use for SS in Ti mode?

I find I'm about 45 degrees lower using ss in Ti mode.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind as I've been wanting to try SS in TC without having to get another mod. I hope P4Y will bring out another update with a SS tcr one day soon.

you may know or may not another tip while in TC mode you can press + and - at the same time to lock the ohms also while in Joule mode to go over 50 it will not save the setting but you can go up to 100J

The IPV3 LI is my favorite mod even over my DNA 200 I think I want to make love to the touch button

You know there's someone out there who has tried to "dick vape."

I'll let you figure out the logistics :).

Once you have upgraded to the 200 w firmware you go to the joule setting and once at 50j if it does not want to go up press - once then +
