I'm afraid that I might bought a clone version of ipv d2. please help me!

View attachment 33349 When I click the button every time, it will have this screen before the LED shows up.View attachment 33347 After the noise ( like about 1 sec ), the LED comes up. But as you can see, there's black frame surrounded. My friend's LED doesn't have the black frame like mine. * I forgot to take a photo of my friend's LED *

View attachment 33353 This is how mine looks like. Can you tell the difference.
View attachment 33351 This is the place where we put the battery. As you can see the battery sign, the + - is outside of the battery sign.
View attachment 33348 my friend's + - is inside of the battery sign.

I'm really scared that I bought a clone version of iPV D2. I hope someone can give me an answer, thanks!!!!

They both look odd. Mine looks like hers on the inside, but my outside is different from both!

Where did you get them from?

Where did you buy it?
Did you check the authenticity?

how to check for authenticity? i bought it from a local vape shop.... it has 1 year warranty thou. I just bought it few days ago. I told the person who sold me that my LED looks different with others and the guy told me it's just different version.

It's a counterfeit. Pretty apparent to me anyway.

Yours have different battery covers and a number on the top. Google pictures of the mod, and you'll see what I mean!

Other than the fact that your led makes a bit of noise when firing, why are you so so the d that you might have bought a clone? Just because it's a clone doesn't necessarily mean its poor quality. Lots of popular mods are cloned by quality companies.

Also, have you tried leaving it off for several hours or even a full day? Setimes with cellphones there will be minor glitches that sort themselves out if the device is left off for awhile. Idk if the same is true of mods, but if the battery is removable I suggest removing it and leaving it out for at least half a day.

I made a mistake!

I changed the battery in mine this morning, and I realized that your pictures were taken without the battery cover on. Seeing this I can tell you now that your friends is authentic, but yours is not.

Sorry for the earlier misinformation:eek:

Yours is not an authentic, there is only one version so the Vape shop either lied or doesn't know what they are talking about.

The question is did you pay full price, the D2 is a budget mod to begin with, so a cloned device shouldn't fetch more than $20. Otherwise I wouldn't consider that a clone but a rip off fake.

Take it back, request a refund and buy a new one from elsewhere. Not sure on the trading standards in Malaysia but in the UK selling fakes as authentic devices are grounds for legal action.

I generally like to get what I paid for. If it was sold to him as a clone, that's one thing but I don't think that is the case here. Whether it works or not, it's still a hustle; not nessecarily the stores hustle but a hustle nonetheless.

I have a D2 and it does not look like yours. If you insert the battery while holding down the fire button, what comes up on the screen? It should display the software version. Although we know it's a clone, I'd be interested in knowing what it says if anything at all. How is it functioning? Even if it's working fine, I would still take it back on principal. Is the warranty something the shop offered you or from the manufacturer?

I have 2 new silver ipv d2 that look identical to yours bought through ecig ave, I do not think they are clones, in fact if you look up pics of a silver d2 they all have the similar battery compartment. I do believe there was a running change to the d2.

Maybe so!
Same like me to..my version number sx130 v3.0..how about you?

Your

My version says 130h v3.0, and I have not seen any clones or d2 style devices yet. But at the under $50 mark, it will be hard for a cloned to make a good profit.

Hi, mine also like yours
I wonder if this is clone or authentic
And if this is a new version, why they make with crap display? I like the old one where the display look so nice and confident with the quality

I have never seen a cloned d2 before. Not to say they might not be out there but it would seem kind of an odd device to clone imo. When they made istick look a likes they just branded them as their own devices. I figured a d2 would get the same treatment if they copied it.

The market never materialized in the US because it was widely available and then eclipsed pretty fast by new tech, and then the price plummeted.
