Help Me Choose :)

Hye first time posting on this forum, though i've lurked on here for a while now. Im looking at picking up another mod but im not sure which to get. I have the subox mini atm but im wanting something that has temp control. I was looking at the Istick 60w TC or the Evic VTC mini. Both are 60w and have TC so almost zero difference. Also i can pick either one for about $30 shipped so cheap (cant afford both of them tho). Im just wondering which i should pick up and why... Thanks guys and gals

I agree. They aren't actually equal. The VTC has better build quality, a much better screen, and because it is upgradable, now has 75 watts, and can temperature control stainless steel. Lots of stainless steel coil heads are showing up and many people have concerns using nickle or titanium. The VTC is the better mod all around.

By the way, where did you find a VTC for $30? I'm looking to order a second one.

Just an FYI. I don't have either of those mods but I do have a Sig 75. Ecig.com has them for under $40.00. Great little mod for that price and its TC as well. Build quality is real solid. There may be a coupon code out there for ecig.com where you can get it even cheaper.

Ya fasttech is becomeing a pita for me as well. l placed an order on the 13th still not here I mean ill prob always use them for wire, batteries, and other stuff. But there really just my stock up and clone source now.

Yah i got an RDA from there and its been in XIAMEN EMS, CHINA since the 21st of OCT... xp this is what i get for cheeping out :/ you know whats wrong with them? ive gotten ZERO answers about it.

This is just what i heard is they got cought sending batteries in the wrong mail service. But idk if its true also in the last year they just been miss managed. Id still call them reliable but slow.

I did i was going to get the istick 60w actually had it on preorder. Than the evic got the 75w upgrade (that ill prob never use but ya know) and really thought about it you know theyll never upgrade the isitck. The other big plus is the coating is 3xs stronger than the subox.

I got the full kit and when I order my next one I'll absolutely get another full kit. Just know that the coils that come with the tank are garbage. The CLR rebuildable coils are the only ones that have wicked well for me, plus you can re-wick or rebuild them. I have a stainless steel coil in a CLR head right now. Works perfect with the VTC in temp control.

Ecig ships out of Austin, Texas. They have some of the best US deals anywhere. I've ordered a couple of times and they each took about 3-4 days to get to my house. Hard to beat.

Personally, I would always choose ecig.com over fasttech for a mod. I've ordered loads of stuff from fasttech, but if a mod comes in damaged or get's lost in the mail you're in for a very disappointing ride. For clones, O-rings, drip tips or other small things, fasttech is absolutely fine. For a nice mod I always go with a local vendor, but if you're really short on cash it might be worth the wait and added risk of a mail mishap.

Idk what the return policy for ecig is but thats the biggest downside of efun there return policy sucks like 14 days and only 50% paid back for shipping

Usually I'm not "that guy" but... how many threads are on this already? I mean, the VTC Mini versus the iStick 60 is like the "Ford Versus Chevy" debate of VU (for your truck fans).

I have a VTC mini and a 40w TC, for the record. Both the VTC Mini and the iStick are good devices, though the former is an objectively better device because it's upgradable to a higher wattage, has way more features, a nicer readout, and a better reputation quality wise.

The iStick 60's major advantage is price, but shopping around, that advantage appears to be about $10, whether you get the mod alone, or the mod + tank combo. Is $10 really worth having an inferior device to you? My guess is no.

Get the VTC Mini if you like it, get it from eCig because they're cheap as heck, and you'll get it in a few days. time is money, and waiting weeks for the Chinese mail just stinks, unless you're really in no rush to get something. But it sounds like you're eager and willing, so just pull the trigger already!

@skt239's is the only report I've seen of it. Somebody else was reporting wonky behaviour of a mod with TC coils that I think may have been an eVic-VTC Mini, but I'm not certain.

I've had mine for... two weeks? I've driven a Kanger Mini Protank 3 with it (VW mode), and an Eleaf GS-Tank w/both .15 ohm Ni TC coil (TC mode) and 1.5 ohm coil in VW mode. Working like a champ, so far.

Plus while looking on there i saw the Atlantis 2 and Crown for around $20 each! Any suggestions on which one i should be getting out of those tanks?

No... you're comparing apples and oranges. The eVic without a tank is $35, the iStick kit (which comes with a tank) is $37 and change. So you can't really compare those two. The comparable eVic kit with a tank is $45, so we're talking a difference of $8 between comparable items on that particular website. My $10 estimate was a general one... obviously different websites will vary on pricing.

eCig always seems to have the best prices among US sites, but there are many caveats...
#1: they do not accept returns unless the item is defective. So be prepared to like it, or break it and say it's defective .
#2: they are HORRIBLE at keeping adequate stock. As a matter of fact, as of the writing of this post, they're out of the iStick 60, and they only have the eVic in one color. Hope you like Cyan!
#3: to respond to your question, their shipping is very unpredictable. You may want to upgrade to priority just to make sure you get it in 2-3 business days. When I ordered my VTC, it took eight freakin' days. I was furious, but at least I got it cheap.

I would get the Crown over the Atlantis. I don't have either but the Crown is VERY highly regarded around here... uses huge coils that deliver a lot of flavor. Fortunately, it appears to be in stock on eCig at this time... for now.
