Better box for RDA

Please keep in mind as you read this I am a complete newb.

Right now I have a Kanger Kbox that i'm running my sapor RDA on, and for my friend to do the build (since the Kbox will go down to 0.4) was challenging for him to not have a massive ramp up time. I think it ended up being 12 wraps of 22 or 24 gauge, I can't remember, and it came to 0.7.

With this setup, I have to run at the max wattage of 40W, which is fine for work days (I can't use it inside) but for other days, I usually end up stuck with a dead battery halfway through the day, and me being me, I usually forget my other one.

I've been considering a dual 18650 box for a while, and I'm curious who likes what, I'd prefer regulated, but I'm willing to learn proper use of an unregulated if need be. I've been told the sigeli 70W would be a good choice, but the fact that's it's a single battery gives me the feeling I'd run into the same situation. I also didn't want to buy a temp control box feature that I wouldn't use.

The price isn't too much of an object, since anything $100 or under I have savings for, and I can save for higher prices. I'm mainly looking for quality, any thoughts?

I remember him saying that, but he only had 22 and 24 on him, I'll try that when i get the coils rebuilt though.

I don't think so, he works at a local small shop, he's been doing it for a few years.

As you'll grow more experienced with building coils, and using different wires, sooner, rather than later, you will run out of power abilities of even the Sigelei 75W. I'd rather have too much power available, than not enough. Even with my currently 3 dual battery box mods, all of them will run out of battery rather quick when utilizing certain coils, and/or tanks. However, it's still a lot longer than with a single battery device.
I can only recommend the devices, that I own myself, and I like all of them. Sigelei 100W Plus, Sigelei 150W (don't have the TC), and the IPV4S. The IPV4S is more comfortable in my hand. Therefore, I would consider the Sigelei 150 TC, since I like the quality of the Sigelei mods, I own. I recently pre-ordered a Whiteout DNA, which has currently a 1100 mAh LiPo pack, and a DNA 200 chip under the hood. However, a Zippy Compact 3s 25C 1300 mAh is supposed to fit in the mod (according to the manufacturer himself https://cloudmakertech.com/learn/lipo-vs-18650/). Besides the adjustments you can make via Software in the DNA 200 chip, I like the fact, of the modular design, being able to exchange components of the mod.

40w isn't a lot of power for sub-ohming. A lower resistance coil needs more power to heat up quickly than a higher resistance coil. Take a .4 coil and a .8 coil, both at 25w, the .8 coil is going to heat up a little quicker. The higher in resistance you go with the same amount of power being applied, the quicker it will heat up.

I'm getting a 30w and I plan to run a 1.2 coil on my rda and a 1ohm coil in my tank, and just slowly up the wattage until I get a consistently warm vape with good flavor, that's all I'm really going to expect from 30w.

Anyway, for the OP if you really want to sub-ohm, I suggest getting a mod with a bit more power, perhaps a 50w at best. 30w is better for supplying more power to high resolution coils. For me, all I want is a warm vape with decent flavor, I don't give two flying fucks about chasing clouds or chasing flavor. I may eventually swap the chip on my mod for a 40w or 50w, but that's only if I feel a need. I started vaping for the nicotine, I like the flavor but it isn't the most important thing and any device that creates more vapor than a shitty ego pen is good enough to make me happy. I'm currently using a mech mod, and my only complaints are that my coils could heat up a bit quicker, and the fact that as the battery voltage drops so does the power. I'm a pretty simple person to please. I don't need big power. But then again I've tried sub-ohm and plus-ohm, and on my mech I don't notice that much of a difference because I actually prefer a coil that warms up more quickly.

I prefer a colder vape, myself, and I like a lot of flavor, better clouds seem to be a side effect to whatever I'm doing.
So far my biggest difference has been going from a plus ohm tank to a sub ohm rda.

Everyone has different preferences. What you can also do is try starting around 1ohm with lower wattage and up the watts until its where you want it, but that's just a suggestion. A higher resistance coil can warm up faster at higher watts, but stay cool at lower watts.
