Thanks but the problem mentioned in the thread was because of the bottom o-ring..mine leaked through the top filling cap..probably due to white rubber
..idk..really need a solution

Oh my bad. Don't give up hope, someone will come along and chime in with a solution. I'm not really a big top fill guy and try to avoid them.

Two possibilities I can think of...1) Replace the top white disk seal with the spare in the kit and 2) Use one of the vape tank bands included around the top of the tank to make sure the top isn't sliding open a bit in your pocket which would allow it to leak. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tips!
I've tried using the vape band giveb to seal the top completely but it still happen, i'll try changing the white disk seal with the spare.
Thanks!

Now that I think about it, I remember reading about the white seal at the top causing leak problems. I might have even seen a YouTube video that demonstrated a fix. I'll see if I can find it and post the link.

Got one and had the same issue... only filled initially 1/4 tank, and I always take apart, put back together and dam it leaked out contents in a few hours, took apart, looked at all the seals, put some fluid on the seals, re assembled, leaked again, found this video on you-tube, followed instructions to the letter, leaked again dammit.. took apart and upon inspection, and I advise all with leaks to check the coil, the base o-ring on mine had a small tuft of cotton from the building of the coil (these were the pre-made coils), I pulled it from under the o-ring, re-seated, tightened, put in 1/4 tank and it sat all night no leaks... Just another thing to check, check for foreign contaminants around the coil o-ring... Hope this helps....

Mine is not leaking, it does not vape all that well, and damn it gurgles like hell, sounds like finishing a glass of soda, but the base of the coils is dry, no juice down in the vents at the base like the initial leaking...

I have 2 of these with no issues. Got another today from a USA vendor. The top cap hinge is so loose that I can wiggle it up and down. When shut, I can see large gaps around the top. No air tight seal at all. My other 2 are machined very well and don't have the gaps or wiggle. Slightest pressure opens this ones cap. Sent an email back to vendor. Hope they will replace it.

Yeah, this is mandatory. Got mine today, inserted the quad coil, primed it for a while, gradually got it up to around 100W, and as soon as I really started hitting the thing...juice everywhere LOL

Removed white gasket from the top, trimmed it down, and so far no problems. Seems like the top actually closed a hair tighter with the gasket trimmed down too. Now all I need is for the octuple Clapton coils to get here in the mail!

My tfv4m always leaks. Totally hate this tank. I met someone who's got the same problem two days back, ours leak through the afc ring. Best to just ditch the tank for a better one....

Hi, I had a bit of the same issue and after searching the threads came up with the oring issue solution from Oring supply company. I ordered a bunch of the better orings for the coil base and also the chimney. So far they work flawlessly on both my full size and mini, no leaks at all performing like a champ and no leaks at all. Where do you live? I would happily send you some to help solve your issue and enjoy your tank.

Could you let us know the size of the 2 different o rings?

Hi BPROSEK! Thank you for your offer, it's very much appreciated! Although I'm currently using my triton v2 and really enjoy it. I never really enjoyed the tfv4m since it has to be powered at 58w at the very least. It doesn't suit my vaping style at all, vapor is too warm and the tank gets sizzling hot in a matter of minutes.

For this reason, I've replaced it with a Uwell Crown tank thats due to arrive in the mail tom. Too many bad experiences with the tfv4m but again, thank you for your offer of sending me o-rings. It's members like you that make Vaping Underground such a great and helpful community!

My quad coil started leaking again, but not until after I went through about half a tank of juice. Weird. Current plan - install octuplet Clapton coil tomorrow and see if it's got a better fit. The juice is flowing right down into the base, so it's gotta be the coil I'd think. I did the whole trim the top gasket thing already. Need to stick the band around the top of the tank, maybe I'm nudging the top cap a bit and that's dorking up the seal. If this thing ends up leaking any more I'll start to wonder if Smok isn't a Kanger subsidiary or something...

And you say one of these is for the base of the coil, one is for the top of the coil/chimney? At 8 cents per ring I may order a cubic assload and call it a day LOL

Yes, there is a huge post on here about this trial and error to get everything leak free on the tfv4. I forget who went through all the trouble to track this info down and post, but it resulted from a situation where one guy was charging $5 a pop to members for these things, so another awesome member went out and found the solution and posted the vendor and sizes for these. the nine is for the base of coil, seals like a ducks ass and is beefy like kim kardashians ass compared to the stock ring. the 8 is for the chimney.

EXCELLENT. I will order these and not even mess with the TF-T8 coils until I get new O-rings.

@BLACKTOOTHGRIN I believe it was.

Personally never had one single issue with the prebuilt coils, just the RBAs took a little time to perfect.

Thanks for posting the sizes. Mine are not currently leaking, but I will probably get some extra o rings for when they do.

Got the o-rings in the mail today. Here's what I did.

Replaced o-ring on a TF-T8 coil.
Replaced o-ring on the chimney.
Replaced top-fill gasket with one of the spares (I'd tried to trim the installed one down to solve the leaking initially, didn't do anything).
Primed coil, filled tank, closed top, put one of the bands around the top to keep the lid closed.
Worked my way up to 120 watts and vaped about a third of a tank, enough to where the tank is really heating up so my 80% VG juice should be nice and fluid.
Let this thing sit for a few minutes, tilted it around, and zero leakage so far.

It would seem that this did the trick! Thanks to everyone for suggestions and for figuring out the o-ring replacement specs. If you have the same issue, go here and pick up some o-rings, they're cheap as hell: http://www.theoringstore.com/ I think I paid around $12 for 20 of each, plus USPS priority mail shipping. These coils are SICK, and it's an easy fix to get the TFV4 working effectively.

stoked man, glad it worked for you as well!!

Hey everything on here is great, but still haven't fixed the issue, have tried trimming the top gasket, have changed out atomizer with no success. Seems everything I do is to no avail, does anyone know of a similer tank without the very irritable top fill leakage issues, or any leaks at all haha. All suggestions would be helpful, looking for something that can handle around 80 watts and be reasonably priced. Anything else that would help with fixing this issue would be very appreciated

Did you try buying replacement O-rings and using them? I'm using replacement O-rings with an un-trimmed top gasket and zero leaks.

Otherwise the Crown has never leaked on me once, is top fill, and can handle high wattage. I run the 0.25 ohm coil in there at 80W.

Bachelor tank has been working for me.

Bachelor tank interesting, but I still don't see anyone offering those semi-prebuilt coils. I asked eciggity, and they said it was just an rta, unaware. EHPro never answered at all.

Based on the strength of information contained in this thread, I was able to order then install the 8mm O-ring on the chimney, and install the 9mm O-ring on the base of the coil, and now my TFV4 mini has ZERO leaks. I just wanted to thank everyone involved on this older thread, as this information on the O-rings really helped me out. The flavor is just so superb with this tank, but now that it is leak free and I am back to using this tank, my only complaint about the tank is it is almost too powerful, I have to dial back the TC temperature to way below what I run my other tanks at, or else it is too hot a vape, and it makes me cough it is so powerful. I think I found the sweet spot @ 350 degrees F, and I may try the TF-N2 Air core instead of the standard core and see if that helps dial this beast back somewhat.

I had the TFV4 and hated it. It leaked from the top and the air flow control. I got the Aromamizer. It's got the velocity style build deck and it has never leaked. It's the only tank I use and have been using it for about 3 months now. Absolutely no leaks, easy to fill, to build and if I haven't mentioned it NO LEAKING!

Glad you guys are finding answers for your problems. I've used around 8 of these tanks between my son and I and never had any issues. I will say a couple of things I noticed. I had a few coils that I thought were seated and I looked and said that's not right. Loosened them and re tightened a few times and all of a sudden the coils screwed in much further. So a few of these coils had like a bur in the threads and locked right up tightening until I got it off. Another thing I've seen is QC on any vape stuff is not the best. I've had two brand new coils right next to each other and the O ring on one is clearly fatter than the other. Answer, take one off an old coil. Next thing I've seen is the stem (chimney) that comes down from the top where the threads are on it is supposed to have an O ring. It gets lost in cleaning or it sticks to the coil when you remove it and end up throwing it away. There are different extra O rings with each kit. The mini has different ones than the standard and I cant remember which one has the extra O ring for the chimney. Hope you guys get your issues resolved ! For me I love these tanks. Want to laugh ? If anyone has an old Atlantis tank fire it back up one day. You can get clouds and flavor from one of those and the coils don't drain nearly as much power ! Might not get as much airflow but you can get clouds from it. I recently gave a few to one of my sons friends along with CF sub ohm batteries and I was like damn, these things are pretty good ! We tend to forget sometimes because we are always obsessing about the next new thing. It's a sickness LMAO Have a good one !
