Well after jumping on the dna 40 at first release, I've decided to wait a year before I jump on the dna 200 wagon unless politics forces my itchy hand. I would like to see Sigelei do something. Not really sure I need a dna 200, but I sure want one.:)

Don't know about that one, but I've already preordered the Wismec Reulaux (hope I spell correctly) DNA200 as my early x-mas gift this year.

That wismec made me salivate, my wife is the only reason I'm not putting my card numbers, I'm gonna wait till next year, since I don't really do any TC vaping,I'm still good with my sig 150, but like others my hands are very itchy, I'm not a techincal guy, I don't really know what this chip will bring to my Clapton coils
Oh well

I bit the bullet yesterday an ordered the Wismec Releaux DNA 200.
All the sites I visited on eBay offered it as a pre-order but one. Fuggin Vapor had it in stock for $149.99 with free priority 3 day shipping. Also they were $15 to &20 cheaper than the other listings.
IMHO it's the most awesome looking DNA 200 to date.

Oh, I'll get one. Not anytime soon though. I'm just going to do something I rarely do, wait. It can only get better for choices. I just don't want to want the one that just came out the day after I get mine, although that could still happen.

I also thought about waiting for the next gen but, to me, the Jaybo designed Releaux is light years ahead of all the "box mod" DNA 200's out there.

If I were to purchase today, It would be a no brainer to get the Releaux. I like it. Although, I was impressed with the Boxer because of how nice a 30mm atty fits so well with no hang over. Releaux can't do that.

I won't be surprise if they come out with a dual 26650 DNA 200

Another good reason I'm waiting it out for a year or so. I wonder what 3 18650's weigh compared to 2 26650.

Ya, I'm not getting triple 18650s. Way too fat. If I'm going that big, plenty of other lipo DNAs out there with bigger cells and all the benefits of higher voltage.

My problem with this LIPOs is that you can't be sure what u have, I feel more safer vaping when I know what battery is Inside you know.
My current adv I can't really trust this LIPOs

How is that any different than 18650s? All sorts of rewrapped counterfeits out there. Buy trusted brands from trusted sources. My thing with triples is the nicest thing about 18650s is they are easy to change. 3 would definitely last me all day, but why carry them around all day. The high current we use and higher voltage suits our application better. I'm sure lipos will be in most in no time. If you are low wattage, then a single or even dual small box is nice.

I like the ability to change my batteries and charge them in a battery charger, that's just my own preference..I only buy batteries from trusted vendors, LIPO and me don't get along, charging via usb too many issues what that, and DNA 200 is too new, maybe in the future

Yep, different strokes.... I'm not trying to convince you, but there are a ton of lipos out there in every day use. Every single cell phone. And there are also a LOT of DNAs out now. Mine have been perfect.

I have a hana modz dna 30 and it works great. I guess that's a dna 200 without tc. I don't get why people like the dna 200 so much. It just seems like another regular mod to me. No big deal.

Ummmm... Escribe, preheat, 200 watts, user adjustable TCR, lipos which are better for this application, 8 different profiles.... Nothing on the market right now is as good.

I picked up a Tugboat DNA200 and Reuleaux. I'm selling my regular boxes. Snow Wolf and Xcube II (might keep this one because it's not really worth the resale). I use the Tug during the day and it's ready for charge by the time I get home and it's on to the Releaux. Highly customizable regulated box is tough to beat. We don't NEED any of this stuff. It's nice to have options though.

I thought Sigelei owns Yihi so the DNA 200 doesn't seem likely. Looks like there is a new chip in the link posted above, looks interesting but not likely to replace my current DNA 200.

I picked up a Releaux and love it but not too crazy about the escribe software so far, you really need to put some time in to learn it. Didn't realize until today that you need to tell it what batteries your using in the software, the default is 720 mah batteries o_O Just changed it to 3000 mah so maybe the battery indicator will read correctly now. I was actually disappointed with the battery life, still got a full day but it was the same as my 26650 TNT 80, now that I have corrected that it should be more accurate and hopefully even longer between charges. Ordered another set of LG HG2's as waiting for the 3 to charge just sucks.

I love the TNT, it is my road dog and the efest 4200 mah 26650 lasts me all day. I actually forgot to charge my batteries on the reuleaux so have been using the TNT all day without any regrets except how bad ass the RX looks and feels.

The TNT is a simple VW mod though, no TC which is fine with me. Sadly my Sig 150TC is the mod I reach for the least now, the TNT and RX just feel great in the hand and provide all the power I need.

Been keeping eye on the tnt bro, but at the same time I'm kinda waiting for the sig 75 watts plus...

That Sigelei is going to force the hand on the Reuleaux. You watch, the price will drop on the Reuleaux to the hundred dollar range within the next few months. It's already dropped from 199 to 149

Non sense. It's a DNA 200 mod. It's currently the the leader. Sigelei isn't forcing anything. Next up will be software interface for Yihi 350j. Sigelei isn't a DNA 200 mod.

My thoughts exactly @Powerman. The only thing bringing some of the DNA200 prices down (imo) is the competition between the different DNA200 mods already released. Comparing an unknown 200 watt chip to a DNA200 chip is like comparing Apples to Watermelons - Just no comparison (imo).

Cheers,
Steve

I know it's not the dna200, but it will compete with it. I just had the Reuleaux offered to me for $101 qty 10, from Sino-cig out of china. No proof, but I believe the dna200 chipset is now massed produced in a chinese electronics factory, thus, inexpensive now. I don't think evolv could produce this many chipsets this fast out of their small building in Ohio.

There are a decent amount of DNA 200 mods but the Reuleaux is the leader in the clubhouse for being unique. The only triple 18650 mod in the bunch and the probably the best looking and easiest to hold comfortably. The only other mod which is probably just as comfortable to hold is the Boxer but that will cost a lot more than the Reuleaux for a DNA 200 if you get it already assembled.

With how slow Evolv is getting the chips out too it will keep the demand high for probably a couple of months. Try and find a review were someone doesn't love it and finding it in stock right now is not easy.

You are talking about a quantity wholesale price, retail for a new one is still going to be in the $150 range. You have to figure in shipping as well per unit and if you ordered 10 how much would that be.

There's complaints about it,not discharging the batteries at the same rate,
I agree it is a unique device, JAYBO is brilliant with this design
But, does it really need 3 18650?

DNA200 chips require 3 lipo or lion batteries in series (11.1V) to put out the full 200 watts. You can run the chip with 2 batteries in series, but it's limited to 133 watts output (iirc).

Edit I'm not saying the Jaybo/Wismec can be run with only 2 batteries, only that the chip can operate with 2 batteries.
