So I must know, is anyone into high end vape gear? One of the shop managers and co managers go hard for it. Mods and atomizers that cost several hundred dollars. They love everything from Carlos Creations. It some really pretty stuff. I feel privileged to hold and touch stuff that most other people will never lay their hands on or even see, but these guys must not pay all their bills lol. Like the manger had a stacked vcm mod. It almost impossible to find one online and he has one. They both have several Carlos creations mods. I kinda want one.

I think the majority of the high end crae ended with the clones being as good and many times better than the authentics without the douche bag tude.
The nail pretty much was the fat waddling man babies with a camera and a shitty tude delivering the bullshit CnD to the vendor selling clones.

The way I look at it is this. Your money, spend it on a broken flash light if you want to.

By high end, I guess it depends on your point of reference. I've had the discussion with someone before, and his line was price.
Which again, can be a broad spectrum.
Most of what I use is the 200$ category, not high end, not low end. But I do have a few higher end pieces, stingray xti, kf4; aquav2.
I love the idea of something like a zero mod, but, I just cant go there from the financial end, beautiful work though

To me, metal is metal and plastic is plastic and volts are volts. I don't care about any stupid fancy shmancy bullshit. I wont pay for a name. I have rocked nikes and I've rocked bobos. They both do the same thing. I've had nice shit and I've had generic shit. Generic cola tastes the same to me as Pepsi. I could hold a high end mod and a dirt cheap one and look at them exactly the same. Designed to perform a function. Nothing more, nothing less.

The only High End mods Ive ever bought and probably will have ever bought were the V3 Flip, Castigador, Xcube 2 and Snow Wolf...only because I thought the product wouldnt be better then the clone. I later bought the clones and some of the clone products I bought had fixes for parts on the mods the authentic had and wouldnt be fixed down the road. My attitude now is wait for the 1:1 clone...if the clone is crap then dont expect much out of the authentic version of it..

but good wood is stabilized.
A wooden mod is the same as a plastic or a metal one, designed to perform a function, nothing more and nothing less. When I look at a mod, I only consider 3 things. What functionality and features does it have that I am interested in? How well does it carry out these functions and features? How long will it perform these functions reliably? I don't care about anything else.

I consider my daily vape gear more as tools, but I do like the stuff to look at least half decent. I haven't looked at anything high end in that regard. I'm not going to put in the effort required to get some of the rare gear that's out there either.

OTOH, I really appreciate wood and enjoy woodworking. I have a SX350J board waiting for a wood box that I'm currently designing. That will be very satisfying :)

I would guess most high end vape aficionados when they used to be smokers probably used expensive lighters, had handcrafted cigarette boxes and/or fancy ashtrays at home. I don't see anything wrong or douchey about that, same as I wouldn't care if someone chain smoked GPC's and ran out of bic lighters and empty beer cans to use for ashtrays.

Is a limited edition snow wolf high end? In my opinion no. It was the first regulated and first box device I bought. I bought the limited over the regular because of features it had. Not their stupid laser engravings (but they do give a different look to it).

If you want to see some crazy high end stuff look at vaperoyalty's custom stuff. I know a lot of it look like a bejeweled evod but some of their stuff is impressive.

That is probably one of the most sane comparisons I have ever seen.

I don't mind paying high end prices for stuff I want....most of the attys I want have never been cloned...on the other hand I could care less about mods...to me they are just battery sleds....I still use a smok natural that cost me 50.00, but I have no problem dropping 180.00 on a genny I want.

I bought my first real mod from smok, it was unregulated too. But because of massive design flaws in it I'm horrified by smok products to this day. I mean, I'm sure if I looked into them maybe they aren't as bad as this one but still...

You know what I mean right? Like buying a car and something breaks and you look into it and see its common and then you're completely turned away from the company/car now. (Not the best example but my sleep exhausted mind is too tired for making a good comparison)

the natural was a solid no nonsense no bells and whistles mod...mine is being held together with baling wire and parts from the hardware store....but the mod is the least part of the quality of your vape.

I had the latest version of the smok extender, none of the previous big safety issues (not the basic unregulated safety but lack of vent holes ect) were solved and can be seen in my review of it on here.

It's true. Coils, wicking, and rba are the big ones. However a mod is a big part too, just not as much. Since without a decent mod the awesome build can't fire for the life of it. Would suck to have a $200+ rba get toasted because of a crappy mod too...

While not horrified, neither have I been impressed with Smok products. THat said, when I saw a deal on a Smoke Treebox with immediate delivery, I snagged one for my wife 'cause it's pretty. She loves it. We'll see if it holds together.

Treebox is the only product I think is nice from Smok besides the TFV4/Mini, its a beautiful box
