Opinions: Asking Price for Item I Want to Resell? (+pics)

Hey all!
So I'm in a buttload of buy/sell/trade groups on Facebook, and I always SUCK so bad when it comes to posting an asking price for a used item. I know the circumstances vary item to item/quality its in, so I wanted to come here and ask what YOU would personally ask for this specific item I wanted to sell/trade via Facebook.

This is an authentic Tugboat v2 RDA deck by Flawless, with a white (nicked-up) "competition cap" by Anarchist Mfg/Flawless. There's a few people interested in JUST THE DECK in my local groups, and a few others interested in JUST THE CAP in another group. And then, of course, those who want both lmao.

SO! In your personal opinion, what would YOU personally ask for:
1) deck only
2) comp cap only (with consideration of quality)
3) deck + comp cap together (considering quality of cap)

The Anarchist competition cap goes for $45 retail, and v2 deck + regular cap goes for $90.


I appreciate this, everyone! I tend to ask low prices for my items because I "feel bad" lmao. Pics are attached!

I've always loved the anarchist emblems/ cap, never been much on the tugboat deck, though the manufacturer is awful proud of them lol.

I'm sure people like @Vash who deal with tugboat/ flawless items regularly could help.

dripgirl , Just want to add, if you are going to sell the item , you do have to put a price your asking for it in your first post , as we do not allow items to be bidded on like an auction.Please edit your post with a price asking , Thank you

Just post the the price that you want for it. If it's too high, it won't sell and you will have to lower your price.

Pretty simple really.

Lot of factors go into pricing it IMO

What are folks in your area use to paying for higher end used items? Close to retail or very low?
Do they tend to use a lot more clones so authentic pieces don't sell as fast in your area?

Do they buy local more than online ?
Here on VU harder to get more since we tend to be savy when it comes to pricing on items and waiting and knowing about sales going on etc. .
Also market in general of drippers vs tanks .Most folks seem to be wanting tanks and TC mods.

Do folks want complete matching mech set ups which is why most get the Flawless gear such as myself .I would be interested as I want all my gear to be matching and same brand .

As others have said what do you feel they are worth? Put out a price and no hits then drop it,if still no luck decide if you are willing to take significant loss and at least recoup some funds for new gear or would you rather just keep them ?

I personally know most cases I'm taking loss on pieces especially authentics and even more so on authentics that less people are interested in.

Either way you won't get close to retail that's just how it goes lol, are you trying to sell quick to fund something new that you want ?
Can you search around and find what your wanting at good price softening the hit you will take on these to help fund that?

I know personally when I sell something on here I expect to take loss but know I have found good deal on next item I want so it makes the loss not as bad lol

A gentleman in Canada offered me $70 if I included various eLiquids I also have for sale, and ended up sending me $75 for a Delta II + RBA deck + 6 stock coils, a Kayfun Lite (clone) & a few premade coils. I lowballed it, like I always do. But we got to talking and he offered to help out!
