I am new to this forum, first forum to be involved in actually. I have a question for you guys. I am not new to vaping, but I am fairly new to series boxes. I have a unregulated hexohm. As you know all hexohms are series box mods. I was told to never build below a .25 on an 18650 series box. I am using the correct batteries. All 3.7v 35amp. Is the .25 correct, or can I build a bit lower? I have been running a .28 on it for a couple days now, and it's meh. But by mistake I put my tugboat with twisted 24g nichrome on it, at .14/.16, and man was it awesome!!!!! But I've always been told that's to low for a series box. Will someone please clarify this for me????

What exact batteries are you using? .25 is about all a series box can handle with GOOD batteries.

Series doubles voltage. Parallel doubles amperage. Short version...
So then going below .25 is just unsafe? Don't get me wrong, yes the .14 I hit a few times on it were great!!! But I'm not into the whole blowing my face off thing.

Below .25 is unsafe. And get some real batteries. All of yours are phony Chinese rewraps. Samsung, sony, lg.

Do you know about ohms law? Let's say you're getting 7v out of fresh charged batteries (voltage drop/battery sag) that's 50A on a 0.14ohm coil. 350w. That low, battery sag may be even a little lower, but still bro, No. Also I imagine the mosfet is only rated to go down to 0.25ohms, so not only are you taxing the hell out of your batteries to potential failure, but also the fet in your mod.

Awesome!!!! That helped a bunch bud. I have an ohms law calculator and steam engine app on my phone. I just have a hard time using em. I'm a dip shit when it comes to math!!! But thank you!! That cleared it up a bit.

No such thing...no such thing as a 35 amp battery??? That's what all mine say. Is that why your saying they are cheap junk?
Yep. Chinese companies rewrap factory 2nds, put fancy wrappers and phony specs on em and sell em to you.

I own 16 samsung 25r batteries. They're reputable. They're cheap. They're not phony.

I know what they look like. Doesn't make em any more real...
I didn't read your other post before I added the pics. I apologize. I thought maybe my B&M had sold me some batts that didn't actually exist.

I appreciate all the help guys. I have never aimed to build anything under .25 for my series box. But was just curious if I had gotten true info from my B&M. I've got some claptons on my mad hatter that are coming out about .28. Those are working really good at the moment. Didn't want to be the next news paper article about blowing my face off. Vaping doesn't need anymore negativity due to stupidity!!!!

The "way to go" is authentic batteries with real specs, you can trust.
How does one tell if a battery is authentic? Is there something in particular? I just saved the screen shot of your recommendations so I can use it in the future when searching for batteries by the way.

All your batteries are probably 20A continuous, 35A pulse I know those efest are and mxjo are to AFAIK.
Also, yes buy from a reputable vendor the one posted is probably the best, imo. And Jon is seriously an awesome dude! Also, as far as telling fakes apart from authentic, I know not every battery is in here but this was helpful for me when I had to grab some from my B&M, http://batterybro.com/blogs/18650-wholesale-battery-reviews. Just look for the battery you want to authenticate.
