this is my first post, so i hope i can be accepted into the community and help others out!


so i got a clone smpl, and a troll rda, my troll rda is currently at 0.35 ohm with dual coil. i use 100 vg or 80/20 or 70/30 vg juice. im going to get a legit sony vtc4 or samsung 25r or a lg he2. which is best? the sony is 49p more, and has higher discharge rate.

im wondering what i would be looking at getting, would the clouds be good on 0.35 ohms, or should i rebuild, and if i do, what should i rebuild to? i read online 0.18 is lowest you should go sensibly, but it will go to 0.1 on a sony vtc 4

any help appreciated, thanks!

First of all, you are using a hybrid mechanical mod. I have a troll and I would not feel comfortable using it on a hybrid mod because the 510 pin doesn't protrude very far. You need to be very safe when vaping on a hybrid mod. It is unregulated. Battery safety is very important. There are plenty of regulated devices out there that can chuck cloudage without putting yourself in danger. It sounds like you might be fairly new to vaping which is kick ass! However, we just want to be sure you are being careful, and aren't going to end up on the news.

the 510 is adjustable though !

i already have the rda and the mod, id rather not buy new ones, i just spent like £25 on the rda and £20 on the mod.
could you just give me some help with what i got, like what batteries!

I would go with a 25r. Can't go wrong with that. MXJO's are good and so are Imrens.

ive been using http://www.ohmslawcalculator.com/ohms-law-calculator
the vtc4's seem to have better discharge rate at 30a continous and 60a peak, and 4.2v fully charge and 3.7 normal rate
according to site 3.7v and 30a would run 0.12333 at 111w, im just wondering what i should build at, probably looking 0.2 area, but it shoudl still push my 0.35 atm right?

I always recommend people to not stress their batteries. Although the VTC4 is going to have a higher discharge rate, the MAH is lower. So if you are putting that much stress on them you will have to change batteries a few times a day.
There are MXJO's and Imrens out there that are 35A, and 3500MAH
You could build .2 on those and them last much longer.

The he4, 25r, and ATC 4 are all great batteries. Try parallel 26ga, 2.5 ID, 6 wraps on the Troll. It is going to ohm at around .2. It will vape great and you will be fine on any of these batteries.

Exactly, ID = inside diameter, of your coil. The large Phillips in a jewelers set will be close to 2.5 normally.

0.2ohms would put me above battery specs

0.2ohms at fully charged 4.2v puts you at 21 amps and 88.2 watts any decent high drain 18650 is rated at 25amps continuous and 35 pulse. if your just getting into rebuilding .35 ohm will give you good vapor just keep in mind that its a science and when lowering resistance you want to make sure not to lower surface area or you just get a hot vape with the same amount of vapor. also when you start building low your ramp up time increases witch can be annoying, this can be avoided with a proper build and the right coil wire such as n80 nichrome or a titanium composite wire like mad rabbit or something to that effect. but personally I use mxjos, sony vtc 5s, and I have a few efests although I don't use them in my unregulated mods.
