I only started getting it because I loved the vape from my crown tanks. It's much easier to work with than kanthal

I feel ill be picking up more wire tomorrow...... ive abandoned my quad coil. Im just shooting for a 1 ohm dual or single coil for the moment. I need tools...... maby wensday ill get to my goal.

What device and RDA are you using? And I would recommend small set of metal precision screwdrivers. Learning to wrap coils by hand and without a jig is key. And they can come in handy for centering coils.

Tellin ya, try cutting a wire coat hanger. The wire ones are 2mm Diameter. Cut a good 8 inches off so that you have a decent length to hold onto.

I have been using screwdrivers with plastic handles and I accidentally hit my fire button while centering a coil and melted some plastic, thus ruining a beautiful build.

You can get a decent set of Crescent brand flush cutter & teeny needle nose pliers at Home Depot pretty cheap

My first building attempts were attrocious.. I actually trashed my first mech out of rage which was a Patriot RDA on top of a Chi You... Its somewhere in the forests behind the shop still I'm sure.

My kit was once nice. Now all my tools have been used and abused think I'll order one of those fancy Coil Master building kits with an Ohm meter and all that fancy stuff. Still using a multimeter for all my readings.

My cutters are so dull.. I gotta wrench on that bad boy now which is bad on my fractured thumb. I used a pair of nail clippers for awhile and eventually they got a groove where I clipped the wire all the time lol

Geek vape has a better version of the coil master tab for like half the price

im working rith a cool fire 4 and tobeco 4 post turbine rda. I have the screwdrivers. Wire cutters. And all the tools needed to rebuild your car tires up. I just dont have ceramic tweezers so i can aply power and adjust the coil at the same time due to my metal tweezers shorting the coil.

Wound up with a 1.7 ohm single coil. Ramp up is slow as hell but i should be able to deliver the full 7.5 volts at 40 watts. I bet it will cloud like crazy.


Back story, im a former ford technician (even certified by ford) but ive sense moved into comercial parts sales. I was very skilled at electrical diagnostics. And i think thsts why i like this hobby i think. It lets me flex my electrical muscles :)

Don't need to apply pressure while firing. Just quick short puleses. Can get longer with each pulse and squeeze

Anyone tried a flat bastard coil? If so how was it? Got a fused, but don't feel like doing all that right now.. Maybe dual single core clapton? I have 24, 28, 34 & .4 flat ribbon.. Suggestions please :) this coil is gross already

Ok. Went from this, .6 ohms20151214_195103.jpgTo this at 1.7 ohms. I was shotting for 1 even with a max of 1.3 but i f i can get past the ramp up, i bet it will rip juice and cloud like fucking nuts.

That wrecks on the first coils I made. Props to you! For lowering ohms, lower your inner diameter and lose some wraps. There are tons of coil calculating apps you can use as well :) Suggest a parallel build when you get the hang of these. Good job again!

Sucsess. Running 7.5volts at 40 watts. Max power on my box. Running full blast, ramp up isnt bad. And damn it clouds like some of the 200w builds i see at the vape shop. And the flavor is very nice due to the surface area on my monster coil.

Building bug hit me hard.....

Wensday ill go chill at the vape shop and give my hand a try at a more co,plex build under the supervision of people. Maybe these people know somethimg. Idk but i think im getting the hang of this. I find myself useing my pen battery to buils and dry fire the coil.

This coil would be a monster on the box im looking at.....

Reuleaux rx w200. I bet this coil would absolutly wreck on that machine. For 85 bucks at the vaoe shop, not bad me thinks..... might buy it next payday
