smy 60 tc mini not reaching temp with kanger ni200 in subtank mini

i had been vaping with the original kanger ni200 horizontal coil head with no problem. then i changed to the new vertical version of the kanger ni200 which was fine for a couple of days, then all of a sudden the mod wont reach temp anything over 450 or so, i like vaping it maxed out at 600 .. anyways, i did some research and couldnt find much in the way of not reaching temp, mostly people having problems with reaching temp too fast, read about pushing up the 510 connection before installing the occ head and so forth.. thought it may just be a dud coil head so i changed to a brand new head even though the one i replaced was only 2-3 days old and was working just fine until today :S popped in the new head and still the problem persists THEN i tried doing some of the things i had read, such as pushing up the 510 connection, poking the cotton from the side of the coil/juice holes, fiddling with the spring loaded connection in the mod, checking to see if any method worked between each interval... no dice! can anyone help? thanks in advance

well i dont have any nickel wire to rig up any of my rda's, and the subtank mini is the only tank i have.. but another odd thing happening with 24 kanthal in my marquis rda, is that my wattage keeps getting stepped down due to low voltage, but that is for another topic.

I don't have either that device or tank, so I was curious what others might have thought. I use a Subtank Nano with just the usual leaking issues. That SMY 60 is a nice looking device, and was the device that was supposed to get SMY out of the doghouse from a ton of manufacturing issues that plagued their earlier units. Maybe take it to your local B/M and try another tank on it, or if one othe staff there can help. Good luck, and welcome to VU. Wish I could have been more helpful.

No worries and thanks for the response.. I did the firmware update for the mod but there were no immediate results.. But after a few hours things changed for the better. It's looking like it may be the coils at fault here because now that this coil is getting broken in the temp is reaching between 540-570. Unlike the kanthal occ from kanger, I've actually had better results with the horizontal ni200's thus far and either way I'm most likely making the jump to titanium self builds once this pack of heads is gone, and i may just treat myself to the aromamizer rdta after the holidays anyhoo thanks again and hopefully all 5 in the pack wont be faulty
