Help: just a little question about nicotine w/ a new DIY

Hey I just made my first order of supplies so I can start making my own personal vape juice. I was looking over my order and noticed I forgot Nicotine. Well when I went to buy it, I saw how it comes in different milligrams. So, I'm making juice for a mod, and I'm going to want the juice to be about 6mg... does it matter if I buy 100mg of nicotine, or 60, 24, etc and so on. There are so many options. My guess is that I'll have to do some math and know how much nicotine to add to the batches to make sure the juice is 6mg of nicotine no matter what strength I buy. Is that right? Can someone PLEASE explain it to me? Thanks!

not really
you can make 6mg strength juice from anything over 6mg
but here is why those heavy into DIY buy 100mg nic base. because its cheaper in the long run. Its less per mg the higher the concentration. And you use less per batch.
SO in a 100 ml batch of juice that you want to be 6mg strength
if you use 100mg strength nic base...you will add 6ml or 6% nic base to the 100ml bottle
if you have 24mg nic base you will use 25ml or 25% nic base for the same batch

SO as you can see the higher your concentration of nic base the cheaper it becomes in the long run.

theres plenty of them online to use that will tell you exactly how much of what to use to get exactly what you want

Another decision you'll have to make, when buying your nicotine base. Do you want it in VG, or PG? If you want to make max. VG juice, you want to get it in VG. If it's more like 20PG/80VG, you can get it in PG.

I did not know that piece of info... I already have purchased VG, and PG rather I already know i want to make them VG mostly. I only bought the PG because if I'm going to experiment new flavors I ought to do it with both sides of the fence if you know what I mean. That being said, when I look for nicotine, should I look for nicotine in neither of the two, if they make it rather, or find nicotine with both VG, and PG? Also, WHY does it matter that it have a VG or PG base? Say I am going to make max VG, and I have Nicotine made in PG... is there something that wont turn out correct or something?

Play with the calculator, and you'll see, in order to make a max VG juice, you'll need your nicotine in VG (ideally 100mg/ml). You can always mix in your plain PG if needed.

One more thing guys, where should I buy the nicotine? With your guys answers, I figured out what I thought was true, and that the strength of the Nic does not matter, therefore I decided I'd just get 100mg strength to make it easier. I live in Idaho, what website should I order from for best prices and quickest shipping. I ordered my flavors and vg/pg 2 days ago, so I want to try and get the nicotine here as close as possible to the first order.

Definitely not from USA-Laboratories! I bought their nicotine once, and it was the worse ever. It had a black pepper flavor OOB, which indicates, that the nicotine base wasn't stored properly.

Im in boise. Ive read that some nicotine from wiazrd labs and e-cig express have a peppery after taste, is that true with most nic vendors?

Usually not. I don't know the other suppliers. However, the two I listed are reliable, in regards to high quality nicotine base. If you go through this forum, you'll see them referred to by many others.

I'm in Poky. If you were closer I would have given you some nic.

Wizard Labs and ECX did have a reputation for peppery nic. I'm not sure if that still is the case. The vendors that were linked by @Neunerball and myself have very few complaints.

Nicotine River(nicselect) probably has the best quality for the price. Beware of over hyped nicotine and really cheap nicotine.

Well guys I ended up ordering Nicotine from E-cig Express. Out of all the sites, that one had reviews on it from previous buys, and I also found a 10% off code to use, so only spent $16 with shipping ( the 2 day one) . I got 120mL of unflavored nic, VG based. It had 92 5 star reviews only, and no 4 or less star reviews which was a good sign. I will leave a review personally on here once I use it to let you guys know how it is.
