All jokes aside, I see a lot of "price gouging" on Facebook sale sites as well. B&Ms are trying to boost their sales with jacked up prices, but the folks selling used gear have been ripped off by their local B&Ms for stuff they're clueless on how to use and/or aren't getting a satisfactory vape compared to smoking. Either the shops aren't helping with follow up questions or people are just giving up and saying "Well, that doesn't work," and trying to recoup their losses. I've seen basic eGo starter kits with $50+ asking prices because that's what the victim has paid at a shop. They can't return them and they're just trying to get their money back somehow. You also get beginners buying 200w TC mods with high performance sub ohm tanks that are sent home feeling "cool," but soon as it's time to refill or change a coil or build, they're clueless. It's easier to smoke, so they do.

Same here. B&M's are ripping people a new asshole with prices. Common mark up is over 100% from OUR price point. They should be getting at least a slight price break buying wholesale.

Example, I bought my IPV3 Li for just over 60 bucks shipped. At the B&M's they are 120+. Wire is 50 cents a foot. 10 dollar RDA's are 29.99+.

People selling on C-list got ripped, and they know no better.

The new Reuleux (or however you spell it) that is selling for 50 bucks EVERYWHERE on the net, is over 100 at local B&M's. I would pay 75 in a B&M for it, but no more.

B&M's dry fucking, is why I DIY my juice and buy almost ALL my vape gear online. As a business owner I know that profits ARE the name of the game, but fucking people just isn't right. I think this is the reason why so many have supported the FDA getting involved and supported the state's regulating vaping. Too many got way to greedy too fast. Once someone feels fucked over, they are not going to lend you a damn bit of support.

Swung into a hip, cool vape shop on my errands just yesterday to see what's what (and also because I have very little self control, and had money in my wallet.) $20 VTC5's. Each.

"Hmm? No, just looking, that's all. Thanks though!"

I think you very mistaken...the majority of vapers DO NOT support regulations by the goverment....
There is not a single corporation in America....more corupt, more greedy, more repressive, resposible for more human suffering, and the suffering of the American people and death than the goverment of the United States.....and you are turning to them to protect you?

Just because some people are too stupid or to lazy to wipe their own asses, doesn'r mean I want the goverment outlawing toilet paper....people should have the right to conduct their affairs without the state, we are not fucking childeren.for those of us who want to be childeren....great...you have the right to obey the goverment and what they say, but you shouldn't try and impose that authority over people who don't want it.The goverment can issue a little stamp on their approved vape gear and you can buy it, but you have not right to dictate to everybody else what they may do.....if the goverment had regulated vaping from the start we would all be vaping chinese juice in plastic clearomizers today.
Chinese industrialist would have made a sizeable donation to the Clinton foundation and we would all be fucked. The goverment as had half a century to come up with a solution to help people get of smoking, and with the trillions of tax dollars they've collected and with the thousands of health care proffesionals they've hired....they haven't come up with a solution anywhere near as effective as a bunch of free people, in small workshops and makeshift labs, with the money they could beg borrow or steal that created the vaping industry...so any thinking person has to put forth the thought.......well, does the goverment really WANT to end smoking.

I got no beef with you.

I don't disagree about the need for uncle scam regulating the vape industry as a whole.

I also agree that the government couldn't care less about smokers, or anyone who may smoke (kids included). They really ONLY care about the money they reap off of it.

However, you are dead wrong if you think the majority of vapers don't want regulation. The lobbyists for the "vape industry" are the weakest excuse for lobbyists ever seen in any time. Even the people of vaping, are silent about it. Silence is agreement with whatever side WINS. Those of us here, represents a VERY SMALL slice of the overall picture.

vaping has been around for awhile now almost zero vapers want regualtions,if they did it would have happened long ago.... and most that do only want regulations because they know that our goverment are a bunch of totalitarian thugs and will regulate vaping whether the people want it or not....at this point in our history our freedom isn't an option all we are trying to do at this point is negotiate the terms of our surreneder.

Our goverment knows free enterprise and freedom are the surest ways of creating anything that is why vaping was ALLOWED freedom....now that the industry has been built into a multi-billion dollar cash cow...the goverment suddenly grows an intrest in our well being, and steps into regulate it ....or rather tax the shit out of us and hand the industry over to the corporations to control

For almost all people their relationship with the goverment is like an alter boy that is repeatedly raped by a priest....he's been told all his life the priest is there to look after his well being and so his molestaion is part of that well being...he knows it is wrong, but can't bring himself to the idea the priest is and always was evil.

.

Incorrect. Vapers just don't care if it's regulated or not. Hence the silence from MOST vapers.

Vaping is relatively new. Most vapers just like jumping on bandwagons. Look at the devices pumped out. Everyone wants the new, hot mod. Everyone wanted more power.
Power that almost NO ONE is vaping at. 200 watts? Who really vapes there? Practically NO ONE. It's just the "cool" factor most seek.

How about the whaling and gnashing of teeth over popcorn lung?! How many people have actually been diagnosed with it? (hint, 8 whole people. 7 of which worked in popcorn factories) So yet, look at all the tirades about how dangerous the additives are. We don't know really, but we do know that the levels are higher in cigarettes than vaping. So I am not going to waste any more time concerning myself with any of these "scary and dangerous" additives. This fear mongering didn't start with the FDA or the anti's, it started with vapers. BAD presentation of the information led to the "worrying".

If the will of the vaper's were to be against regulation, they would have stood up in mass, and been heard. They just don't care enough to worry about it. They may bitch and moan about the taxes, but they will feel safer and "assured" that the regualtions will keep them "safer", even if it doesn't.

well said , but honestly vapers are like any slice of the general population the reason they don't stand up against what the goverment is doing i that 1) They know and everyone in America knows the political class are our rulers..we are slaves our voices don't matter at all, short of violence the goverment does not give a rat's ass what our opinions are.I am certain that they gave up counting ballots decades ago, they pick our so called leaders....2) They want somebody else to do the heavy lifting, they don't want to go our and pass out petitions on a cold saturday morning they'd rather watch the game or play on their xbox or make stupid youtube videos reviewing shite e juice....,they don't want to drive up to their state capital and go to public hearings they don't even want to go to their city councils and attend public hearings....because on a certain level they know they are slaves, they know that the political class doesn't want their input....they think fighting back is a lost cause.

Well, most people are extremely busy. IMO, this is by design.

Some are just lazy as fuck, and don't want any involvement. Sunshine patriots, if you will.

But we are a busy and consumed society. Why do you think many stores are open 24 hours or very LATE hours and not 9-5 and closed on the weekends like when we were kids? Both people are working, and some working more than one job to survive. Those that don't work, are getting a free check that they want to keep rolling in. They aren't going to rock the boat, unless it's for getting MORE.

I know I am busy. I work a full time job AND run a business. I am only capable of so much, just like everyone else. Life is expensive and we have to survive.
