Is a 350J much of an improvement over a good SX330?

Hi people.

After getting the DNA200 devices, I did want to get one yihi 350J device.

Thing is, the SX330 devices I have work wonderfully, and the TC is ultra smooth.

The SX330VSL in the IPV 3 LI was upgradeable, so this is really just a simple question.

Will a 350J be much better than a 330 series chip? Or is there not much difference?

As I don't want to waste money, and I must say my DNA200's are really butter smooth-and the Sigelei 150 and the IPV 3 LI come just as close with TC working great on them, I am wondering if there can be much improvement.

Like even the IPV D2 (I have the D3 on the way) uses a SX130H, and the TC on that is fantastic for a device in its price range.

So-is it worth getting a 350J or do you think with the DNA200's there is not much point, and the Yihi SX330's in different versions doing a very good job at what they do.

Thanks everyone, Conan.

I have had the first sx350 board and that was an amazing board. I 2 sx350j mods. One of course is the sx mini and the other is a dual sx350j which goes up to 120w. Both are flawless on temp control. The nice thing about the board is there are 5 different types of modes you can run them in. Powerful+ which the name says it all. Powerful, standard, soft and Eco. If you want to read more about it here's a link to yihi site. http://www.yihiecigar.com/products_info/YiHiEcigar-SX350J-293407.html

Thanks man. I wont be getting the mini-it will have to be a dual battery device, but I think I should own at least one 350J, I know what DNA's 'best' boards are like now owning 3, so I think I need to give Yihi a chance.

Got a Kooper plus on the way though-I think I will use that for at least a couple of weeks to get used too before adding more to my collection.

The 5 different modes sound nice-do they work similarly to the Xcube 2's 5 modes? As in soft will be less power for a few seconds, hard more power for the first few seconds, then it goes to your desired wattage?

Thank you for your advice.

Its a little bit different than that. With power it has a faster ramp up time and it keeps it power. The 120 w runs in series and its upgradable to 150w but I haven't done the upgrade. I just don't see what's the purpose in upgrade to 150w if I don't even vape past 100w

I have a SXmini and a Dual 18650 SX350J with the update to 150 watts, Ni, Ti, SS plus the vaping modes of Eco, Standard, Powerful, and Powerful+. Overall, I like it just as much as my DNA200, plus I get more vape time out of it. YiHi made a high wattage board with a multitude of options when Evolv was still fiddlefucking with the DNA40. I have a SX330 based mod and it does not compare to the vape quality I get from the 350J.

My first decent 100 Watt mod has a SX350 (not the J class) in it. Dual battery, 100 watts flat signal. Still use it for dripping and tanks.

I have all 3 YIHI chips and the J chip works better than any other mod I have. I will add that I only vape TC and my Mclass is hard hitting and consistent. $200.00 well spent.

I have 2, 350j mods and 2dna200 mods and a 330 mod

The 330 is good, great actually as far as straight performance goes.
The best way to.put the 350j and dna200 is that the 350j even with the latest software is that it is still perfect for power mode when not in tc mode.
The dna200 really excels with TC and quite honestly, in my humblest opinion, its quite ahead of the game in respect to the 350j. Ideally I would love to see an evolve board with yihis power functions and vice versa.

I expect YiHi to up the game again. I've skyped with one of their engineers, they know their shit inside and out, he said stuff was in the works that would bring TC to a whole new plateau.

I want my maser powered atty/mod combo. Can vape it and shoot down an intruding drone if needed.

Thats what I figured would happen, and why im glad the cloudmaker is real. I wont dl another 200$ mod to try a chip; but,I will swap out boards. :)
Im so happy with the way the dna200 is doing things though, it would take quite a bit for me to really explore yihi. Maybe if it did TC with kanthal.

How about temperature of the coil held to .1 degree deviation without fluctuation?

If they figure out a way to do that without incorporating anything weird than of course!

Solution is simple, a faster processor and memory. Really cheap now....

Well yeah, but you need a way to sense the temperature in the coil or whatever variable is being used.

Was talking to a buddy about a way and it would involve a wider connection in place of the 510 and a sensor encased in ceramic

Any minute now one of the RX200 fans will be along to tell us it and it's Joyetech chip is better than the DNA200's and SX350J's smh. You guys may think I'm joking, but I've already seen a few posts stating that very thing, People do tend to get a little carried away lol.

Merry Christmas,
Steve

I've seen a few myself. I was once a provape fanboy-nuff said, right? Lol
Its natural to think that you are holding the tool of god when you have your favorite mod. Quite honestly I can see the guy that doesn't wanna customize anything loving the mod more because it doesn't have all the options. I don't own one, but I've see comments on it liking ss so much for tc.

My new sx mini ml will be in my hands in about 15 hours. I can't wait to try out the new sx 350j board. I love the dna200 but the new ml is so sexy in blue.

I had a sx350 100w too. Was one of the most reliable mods I had. The only down side to series sx350 is no on board charging. But other than that I love yihi.

I think SX350 series boards have all had different options and capabilities. The one your talking about SX350 100W if I recall correctly was the only one in the SX350 series that required 2 batteries setup in series so it took a external balance charger. Again if I recall correctly that board was never meant to be sold but due to the number of requests they received they did produce them and came out with a balance charger afterwards. So depending on who made your mod you may or may not have had the balance charger included. But to the best of my knowledge all other SX350 series boards have come with either on board charging or at least directly attached. My SX350 60W board has it attached, SX350j is on board, SX350j-V2 is on board.

Yes that's true if your using the sx350j in a dual series configuration. I was more addressing the comment that indicated that all "series sx350 " did not have on board chargers. But they do with the exception of the sx350 100 W as far as I know. Again it's true if used in series the on board charger doesn't balance charge but it does exists. Also to the best of my knowledge all SX350 series boards will run on a single 18650 other than the 100W.

Hmm, I am thinking of waiting for the new Q class to be released, I gather that will be replacing the 350J with its new 400 series chip and 200W(the closest a dual battery mod can get to 200W anyway) of power, plus SS and custom TCR support?

I really like the look of the ML, but I just know that It won't get the use it deserves, I tend to use my dual 18650 and Li-Po powered mods more-the Q class fits that bill, I will wait and see if there is any teething troubles and do more research into the device before I do buy it though.

And lol @Zamazam , is it common for people to get the Yihi ML and sell it on fairly fast? If so, that brings up a bit of a red flag for me- now the waiting game begins :).

What I'm still trying to figure out if the sx400 going to be actual 200w or is it going to pulse. Because I know that's quite a bit of amperage being pulled especially if you building really low like .1 or .2

But I will say. I am very interested to see what this device matches up to a 350 board. Knowing the fact that it's a brand new board. There might be some bugs in the beginning. Anyone know the price point on this bad boy yet?

It's not out yet, but from what I've seen, it looks like it's going to be around $200, give or take.
From what I have seen-that seems to be about right. I am hoping that over here in the UK we don't get shafted, and that it costs £200-a lot of the time electronics, say a PS4, will cost say $349.99, well we get the same, but in pounds, £349.99, so it works out a fair bit more with currency converted.

Has been this way for quite a while-so far that I actually ordered my main guitar, a ESP LTD MH1000 from Canada, it was £719 over here, but from Canada, even with 100 dollars shipping, it ended up costing me around £450. (Well 480, as I had to pay 30 pounds custom fee).

So, when it is realeased, ideally it will be from the UK I get it, but if I can get it cheaper somewhere else due to currency conversion, I will.

The tc in the 350j v2 is noticeably smoother. The board was made faster from what I read the new board will be the same except do the 200w. I feel it's a noticeable improvement over the 330's. The big BUT is if you vape over 40w ID wait for the dual battery q class or get a dual battery 350j v2 mod. They can be had for $130 new from varitube

Yes, but depending on what version firmware the sx350j device has loaded. There were later updates to 75 / 150 for single / dual battery configs.

Edit: but just to clarify if you have a diy box mod or similar with a battery tray, taking one battery out of the tray would effectively open the circuit and not work. So the device would need to be designed to work with single.

So for example using a battery extension on the SXmini M class the tube is only an extension so the circuit is complete since the batteries are in contact with each other and the battery cap completes the negative side of the circuit when put on.
