Smokerlyzer and Vaping - Health Insurance Tactics

My employer wants to verify my non-smoker status through a Smokerlyzer test to let me pay a lower rate for health coverage. Understanding that a Smokerlyzer test measures the level of carbon monoxide in your breath, why was I just asked whether or not I vaped and use juice with nicotine?

They just placed a big F YOU sign outside our office doors. Obviously some asshole thought it would be cool to chuck clouds in the building. Or a smoker got pissed. Either way, we're now restricted to the smoking area only.

And vaping is considered the same as smoking by the wonderful United Health Care group.

Hahaha The police showed up at my sisters employer. It seems making your employees stand in the street to smoke. Isn't as legal as some dumbasses would have you believe.

A business can't own the sidewalk in the downtown area It belongs to the city.

My employer's smoking question is phrased as, "Do you use tobacco products? " so I can truthfully say no. Of course my employer also banned all tobacco products on all city property and in city vehicles and considers vaping to be a tobacco product, which is stupid... I've heard they only added vaping to the list because a detective decided it was OK to vape inside an elevator with the Chief of Police. There's always someone who ruins it for everyone else and then the bosses overreact and make all-encompassing bans.

My city vehicle still billows out a sizeable vape cloud when I open the door. Oh well.
