seems a few folks are reporting the resistance value being off...mine is off (high) by 1/100 of an ohm...im not too concerned at all...if yours is bothering you i might suggest reflashing back to 1.07 and call it a day. those that are posting about the temperature issues are causing it themselves (user error), its fine in that area as far as i can see...just remember that the rx 200's stainless steel preset is for 304 grade also...use your mod and enjoy it...hope this helps...also huckleberried is right, theres a massive rx 200 thread she posted and you will be treated well there with tons of information and help from great people there...
thats pulling like 6.57 amps or so...not sure what you are asking as far as the 1.08 version goes...you should know what level of current draw your batteries are safe delivering...
No ni 200 it's fine if I heat the coil and trick the reading by .1 ohm but I don't like that.
Rda ni 200 26g .11 build has to be heated to .12 then tricked to get a warm hit. Even if I put it to 550 it's cold and taste burnt I don't get it. But if I cheat the ohm I can have it at 400 and it taste warm 450 it's hot.
As your heating the coils to get to .12 your pre-heating the coils. I've had my 150 TC for about a year, and had all the same questions. No matter what I always seemed to get a cooler vape, as it ramped, unless I pre-heated. TC was fun to play with, and I still set it up sometimes. I prefer Kanthal, 26 gauge parallel, 6 wraps, 2.5 id, .18 ohms. I prefer this even over claptons. Instant on, full warm vape.
I do like the instant heat of a non TC build. But the flavor from TC is so much better.
I don't really see the flavor difference in TC. I see a flavor difference with claptons, but I hate the ramp up delay. We sat in the shop one day and played with 3 different TC mods. Getting them adjusted to where you would never get a dry hit. When we adjusted them to prevent the dry hit, they produced a cooler vape. with a noticeable ramp.
I had a build that was great. Instant heat. No real delay. 24g Ni 200 .13ohm single coil. I just have a hard time finding that gauge local and I already have other gauges. So while I'm waiting for 24g I'm not as happy.
The machine screw on the Nickel coils is definitely the way to go. I don't understand why you think .13 ohms make it taste better. If it's nickel which I am assuming it is since you wrapped it on a screw, is dependent on what temperature the coil is at.
Makes life so much easier. Try that .13 build I bet you will notice the flavor. No cotton burn at all. I put temp 425-440. I've been using that build for months and I can taste the cotton burning on a non TC build after using this build.
I have been building nickel coils for a while. I was using the IPV4S and it's sweet spot was .12-.15.
