Inexpensive low ohm device

I was just given the Mutation V4 and want to be able to build super low on it. Right now I am using the Kbox mini. It is a 50w max and won't register anything under .4 ohm. I was looking to upgrade to the eleaf 100 but it has an ohm restriction of .15. Does anyone have a suggestion for a comparably priced device but has no ohm restrictions? Would I be better off going with a mech mod for the price?

1. Moving this to Regulated Mods sub.

2. I'm not an iStick 100 fan - had two break on me around the 3-4 month mark. I've got the new Kanger 120W mod on preorder, hoping it'll be a better cheap substitute for moderately high power.

3. Why do you feel the need to go ridiculously low on resistance? Why not just build something in the 0.3-0.5 range and crank up the watts? More surface area = more liquid that can be vaped, right?

4. What kind of batteries are you thinking you're going to use at less than 0.15 on a mech without putting yourself at risk of venting?

I'm not saying that I will build lower than .3 on a regular basis but I want the ability to without having to buy another mod. As far as 4., that's why I asked. Just looked up the Kanger 120w, looks like that's what I'm looking for. Thanks

Not sure, but that 0.05 minimum resistance might be a TC-only thing, the specs are kind of ambiguous from what I've found. But all I want to do is build above 0.2 and use SS in TC mode, so it ought to fit my purposes just fine for $40. Hope it works for you too, and welcome to the Underground!

As far as I've seen, .1 is the lowest regulated mods go down to in power mode. Some go down to .05 in TC. I agree with Dave, no need to go any lower than that for safety reasons alone. 1/10 of an ohm is getting close to a dead short. Make sure you get high quality batteries if you want to flirt with the low end of resistance (hell get quality batteries no matter what ;) ). I have a couple of links in my signature on the battery front if you're interested.

Cheers,
Steve

A mech mod an insurance policy and a fire extinguisher. I'll be looking forward to the You Tube video.
