What nic level are you diluting to? What flavors are you using? 20% is a lot of flavor, though it's not unheard of with some brands/types...

Way to high flavor % Bavarian 3% Gramcracker 4% strawberry 2.5% No sweetner needed. But good combination try it with out strawberry you might be surprised.

What brand of nic are you using. How are you steeping your juice or are you? I have used some nic that was very harsh and that was only at 2mg. I also was microwave steeping that did something to the juice that made it very harsh. I shake and vape now or time steep and have no issues after I switched to Vaperstek nic.

im on 12mg,

Cloud chasing with 12mg could be part of it, especially if your nic is oxidized much.

Also, make sure you are shaking the shit out of the VG nicotine. There's been a few people solve their harsh juice problems by shaking. They were getting too much nic from hot spots(seperated base).

You don't slow cook it in a plastic bottle do you?

Even the survivalist on tv complained about the funky taste the water has after heating the water in these. If the taste is altered the water has been altered also pretty simple

That's personal preference. I use sweetener in almost all my juice. I have never had the sweetener make my juice harsh. The only thing that causes harshness in my juice is elevated nic levels or microwave steeping. FA Sweetener is what I use also and I do not personally believe that 1% will affect the harshness of you recipe. I stick with 1% and at most 2% in most of my recipes.

I was not rally referring to the sweetner as causing the harshness it was that with the type of flavors he was using sweetener would not be needed.

My point is that taste varies between people. You may think it doesn't need sweetener. But I might like it sweeter than you do. Whether a certain recipe needs sweetener is subjective.

I have had only one that needed sweet (pumpkin) Small doses are ok but the more sugars the more the juice crusts the coils which usually causes a premature funky burnish flavor.
